This is appalling. It betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of Canadian pluralism, and the central role of religious faith in both our history, and the lives of millions of Canadians today. It also reflects a violation of the right to pastoral / spiritual care that has always been a part of our military tradition. Are they going to ban Charter of Rights, which begins with the words "Whereas Canada is founded upon principles which recognize the Supremacy of God?" Of singing the National Anthem, which includes the prayer "God keep our land glorious and free?" How about the original French version: "For your arm knows how to bear the sword, It knows how to bear the cross... And your valor, tempered with faith, Will protect our hearths and our rights!" Or our Royal Anthem, God Save the King? Will we sandblast the citations from the Hebrew Scriptures that are carved in stone on Parliament's Peace Tower, and dozens of war memorials across the country? This is another step to deracinating our country, its traditions and institutions into a bland, arid, empty public square.
Conservatives are deeply concerned about this Liberal government’s continued interference in the traditions, values, and personal freedoms that have defined the Canadian Armed Forces. The Government’s new directive restricting prayer and religious expression in official military ceremonies and commemorative events represents a disturbing departure from Canada’s longstanding commitment to religious expression. All members of the Canadian Armed Forces must be allowed to participate in military events in the manner that best reflects their beliefs and traditions. This new directive goes beyond Remembrance Day services. It applies to all official parades and ceremonies in the Canadian Armed Forces, excluding military faith leaders from expressing their religion. Instead of being inclusive, this Liberal government has excluded military members of faith and sent a message that they are no longer welcome in the Canadian Armed Forces. This is yet another attack by the Liberals on freedom of religion and expression which are guaranteed under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Canadian Armed Forces should not be used as a testing ground for woke Liberal social experiments. Our military must remain an institution where every member, regardless of religious background, knows they are respected, valued, and welcome. This Liberal government must reverse this unnecessary and regressive policy and restore the freedom of religious expression to our women and men in uniform. canada.ca/en/department-nati…

It was a great day engaging with Calgarians to discuss the work we're doing to build a stronger Alberta and hear firsthand about the issues that matter most to them. #Alberta #YYC
Three communities. Three great conversations about Alberta’s future. It was wonderful spending time with Albertans in Calgary Edgemont, Calgary North East alongside MLA Rajan Sawhney @RajanJSaw, and Calgary Bow with MLA Demetrios Nicolaides @demetriosnAB. We talked about the work our government is doing to improve healthcare, build schools for Alberta’s growing communities, strengthen public safety, and keep our economy growing. Thank you to everyone who came out and shared your perspectives.

We're pleased to announce @RajanJSaw as our candidate in Calgary-North West for the next election. As Minister of Indigenous Relations and a seasoned cabinet minister, Rajan has spent years working to improve the lives of Albertans across some of the most important areas of government. We're glad to have her on our team getting the job done for Albertans.

Let’s get to work and build that pipeline! Here are 5 key reasons why it’s so important.
Alberta is not going to leave $10 trillion dollars in the ground. Not a chance. The west coast oil pipeline will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, generate hundreds of billions for roads, schools and hospitals, and keep our taxes amongst the lowest in the developed world. Here’s how 👇 Please share this with those who have questions about Alberta’s plan to build the new west coast pipeline.

Message to patriots who think this is done & dusted. It's not. Imagine 40% turnout. That's what we had for the standalone equalization referendum in 2022. The 10% or so of the electorate who are hard core separatists will crawl over broken glass to vote. Not hard to imagine another 10% who are frustrated federalists showing up to cast a "send a message" vote. Then you've suddenly got 20% of the electorate winning, and pushing us into wood chipper for the next year. Don't let it happen. Get involved in @VotetoStayAB or another group that supports a strong Alberta within Canada. And don't take for granted the overwhelming support for national unity. It only matters if the silent super majority show up to vote.
BREAKING: One of the largest publicly released polls on Alberta's Oct. 19 referendum – conducted by Innovative Research Group – is in. 🚨 The separatists are losing in every region of Alberta. 📊 Proud Albertans and patriotic Canadians have the numbers to win and win big. But polls don't decide referendums – people do. 🙋‍♀️ The separatists will show up on Oct. 19. We need to do the same. Pledge your vote at VotetoStay.ca and help us defeat separatism for a generation! 🗳️ #abpoli #cdnpoli #votetostay
