The craziest part about all of this, nationally people think Mary Peltola has no chance, they can't understand how the New York Times would publish this story since in any other State it would ruin her opportunity to win an election.
Not in Alaska, with ballot exhaustion, which 99% of people don't understand, the two decoy candidates that the Democrats placed in the race will potentially pull enough Votes away from Incumbent Dan S. Sullivan that Mary Peltola could actually win.
In 2022, Mary Peltola won with only 40% of the Vote, due to 11,000 Nick Begich Voters exhausting their ballots.
Ask yourself how does a candidate with only 40% of the Vote win when the opposition side (Republicans combined had 60% of the Vote)?
How? Ranked Choice Voting and Exhausted Ballots,

Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes. The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings.
I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next.
Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.
Anyone or any organization found to have broken the law must be held accountable.

A federal inmate serving a 20-year sentence in New York, who has never even set foot in Alaska, managed to secure a spot on Alaska’s congressional ballot.
The Path to the Ballot: After finishing 6th in Alaska's open primary with under 0.5% of the vote, he was bumped into a top-4 general election slot when two Republican candidates ahead of him dropped out.
The Legal Challenge: The state Democratic Party sued to remove him, but courts denied the challenge. Under Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, a candidate must be an inhabitant of the state only when elected, not when running.
The Ruling: Judges also determined keeping him on the ballot was harmless because voters could simply rank him last under Alaska's ranked-choice voting system.
The Precedent: Following another identical sequence of candidate withdrawals, the airtight legal precedent allowed him to automatically qualify for the Alaska ballot once again in 2026.

Welfare office worker accused of stealing $20k in food stamps and trading EBT cards for crack.
Sheila McDonald, 46, was the EBT coordinator at a Pennsylvania welfare office.
Her job was to keep the EBT cards secure.
She allegedly activated 48 cards meant for families.
Those cards were used 270+ times for $20,558 in food benefits.
Video allegedly shows her using 1 family's card to shop and take out cash.
A witness says she paid him in EBT cards and PINs to buy crack.
She's charged with 6 felonies.
