Natural gas/LNG: With Qatar's LNG production still largely offline and shipments through the Strait of Hormuz facing elevated risks, competition between Europe and Asia for available seaborne supplies continues to intensify. European benchmark gas prices have surged 250% year-to-date, while the Japan/Korea LNG marker has gained 237%, with both now trading well above USD 30 per MMBtu. In Europe, TTF futures briefly exceeded EUR 100 per MWh on Wednesday for the first time since 2022, reviving concerns about another damaging energy price shock. The latest surge reflects a combination of constrained global LNG supply, unusually low European inventories and growing uncertainty over weather-dependent winter heating demand. A slow rebuilding of storage levels during the summer has left Europe with a substantial supply deficit compared with recent years, equivalent to more than 100 standard-sized LNG carriers. This reduced buffer leaves the region particularly vulnerable to prolonged cold spells or further disruptions to global LNG flows, while forcing European buyers to compete more aggressively with Asian importers for flexible cargoes. The return to triple-digit gas prices is adding pressure on businesses, households and governments, raising the risk of renewed industrial demand destruction, and persistent inflation. With limited scope for a rapid recovery in Qatari exports, the market is increasingly dependent on demand adjustments and the ability of other LNG producers to redirect supply. Until the geopolitical outlook improves or European inventories recover, gas prices are likely to remain highly sensitive to weather forecasts, shipping disruptions and shifts in Asian demand.

i'm often asked, "do you think i have pmf?" my answer is always the same: "if you're asking that question, you probably don't." when you hit pmf, you won't have to ask. people will love your product so much that you'll hear it directly from them. we found this out firsthand at wispr when we heard that people were buying macbooks just to be able to use flow. you can't fake pmf or people loving your product, and it will be obvious when that happens. until then, keep building. ship, collect feedback, ship again β€” written with @WisprFlow

I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

πŸ˜‚ Unfortunately, I've built a global distribution & so did many of my seniors. You bomb Philippines? You destroy global trade. Go ahead. πŸ˜„ I'm so ready I have our @NuScale_Power for energy R&D in 2030, via Mr. Razon. You destroy Philippines, you destroy capital's safehaven.
The Philippines is the perfect Ukraine of Asia. It can conveniently be used as a battlefield to be bombarded and destroyed while the rest of Asia can stay relatively peaceful because it’s widely separated from mainland Asia by water plus /1

Here's my bs filter: 1. Is it my problem? 2. Does it concern my daughter? 3. Would I die if it doesn't get solved? If 1 to 3 are a no, then I can't be bothered. Being kind is being kind to myself first. I have ZERO obligation to help anyone because of history or whatever.

Oh sorry, it seems PHP is eating USD! My bad. πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚
SUBIC BAY IS NOW THE WORLD'S BIGGEST WEAPONS MANUFACTURING FACILITY PAINTING A MASSIVE BULLSEYE ON LUZON Located just 1,100 km from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Taipei, turning Subic Bay into the world's largest forward munitions factory places the US-Philippine supply chain squarely inside the engagement envelope of the PLA Rocket Force's ballistic missiles (DF-21/DF-26). As Philippine critics (including VP Sara Duterte and local civic groups) have pointed out, rather than guaranteeing Philippine security, concentrating America's Indo-Pacific ammo dump at Subic effectively paints a massive nuclear bullseye on Luzon. This is the classic dynamic of US foreign policy. Offloading the physical risks of war onto allied nations while keeping the homeland safely across the ocean. By binding the Philippine supply chain to Washington's war machine, local sovereignty is being surrendered under the guise of "defense." The Philippines should not be a forward launchpad or an ammunition depot for superpower rivalry. Securing the nation's future requires pursuing genuine diplomacy and independence, not hosting the world's largest weapons factory in our own backyard.

Hegseth is in the Philippines for meetings with Southeast Asian defense officials as Manila seeks to deepen its defense ties with Washington. Read: philstar.com/headlines/2026/…

Public markets let investors build a diversified portfolio, buy, sell and borrow against it in one place. Private markets are heading the same way, and liquidity is what makes it work. Our CEO @doctorfission explains why we expect the semi-liquid fund market to move onchain.
The end state for private markets looks a lot like Robinhood. One UI, one onboarding, where you can buy, sell, and borrow against private funds. @doctorfission of @FissionXYZ explains why the entire semi-liquid fund market will move onchain.
