The Landlord’s Last Notice”
Premise
You’ve been living in a quiet, slightly run-down house for over a year. One evening you come home and find the lock changed, your bags already packed and sitting on the porch, and a short handwritten note: “Time’s up. Don’t come back.” Your landlord, an older man who was always polite but distant, refuses to answer calls. You know you paid the rent. Something feels wrong.
As you scramble to find a new place and try to get your remaining things, small strange things start happening. A neighbor mentions the landlord has been asking about you for weeks—what time you leave, who visits you, whether you’ve been in the basement. You remember the landlord once told you, casually, that the house “chooses who stays.”
You decide to go back one last time at night to retrieve an important document you left behind. Inside, you find the house exactly as you left it, but the landlord is there waiting. He doesn’t look angry. He looks scared. He tells you the previous tenant disappeared three years ago and the house has been “restless” ever since. He didn’t kick you out because of money. He kicked you out because something in the house started responding to you the way it used to respond to the missing tenant.
Now you have a choice: walk away and pretend none of it happened, or stay long enough to understand what the house and the landlord actually want from you.

in 1978 the Hollywood sign was falling apart, so 9 people came together to rebuild it. each person paid for one letter, about $27.7k each
HOLLYWOOD has 9 letters
1WIN TOKEN also has 9 (count it)
so we already have a price list. 1978 prices, but still

Excessive weight gain is not always “I just love food.”
Sometimes it is late-night eating, sugary drinks, no movement, poor sleep, stress, or a body responding to medication or a hormone problem. The scale moves for more than one reason.
What helps is not punishment. It is checking the pattern. What are you drinking. How often do you move. Are you sleeping. Is the gain sudden. Have you been more tired than usual.
Sudden or extreme weight gain deserves a proper look, especially if it comes with swelling, shortness of breath, or extreme fatigue. Slow gain usually needs the boring fixes: smaller portions, fewer sugary drinks, more walking, better sleep.
Shame does not burn calories. A clear plan does. If the weight is climbing and you do not know why, stop guessing and get checked.

On October 26, 1341, the Byzantine Empire began to destroy itself from within.
When the Emperor died leaving only a 9-year-old heir, his most trusted general turned rival and sparked a brutal 6-year civil war.
It was this internal betrayal, not a foreign invasion, that ultimately doomed the empire.

Bien and Toxic Lyrikali are currently among the top acts in Kenyan music, which is booming.
In 2024 and 2025, Bien was the most streamed Kenyan artist on Spotify.
While hits like Extra Pressure kept fans captivated, his album Alusa Why Are You Topless dominated local streams. He offers well-traveled, polished Afropop.
Lyrikali, toxic, increased more quickly. He was crowned Kenya's top discovered artist by Spotify in 2025.
He came in at number four overall, while the tracks Chinje and Backbencher made it into the top ten most streamed local singles.
His raw street sound connects hard with younger listeners. He dominated YouTube trending charts, and one song passed twenty million views.
They sound different, yet both win big. Bien keeps the steady crown while Toxic proves new voices climb fast.
Konshens named them among his favorite Kenyan acts.
The numbers do not lie. Both earned their spot at the top of Kenyan music today.

I WAS THE OTHER WOMAN, BUT THE WIFE WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THAT MARRIAGE WHO DIDN'T KNOW HER HUSBAND WAS MISERABLE.
The first time he told me he loved me, I laughed. Not because it was funny, but because married men have a talent for making their selfishness sound like a tragedy.
He told me his wife didn't understand him. That they barely spoke anymore. That he had spent years feeling lonely beside a woman who was supposed to know him better than anyone.
I believed him. Or maybe I simply preferred his version of the story because it made loving him feel less shameful.
He remembered how I took my tea. He noticed when my voice changed. He could tell when something was bothering me before I found the words to explain it.
And I mistook being understood for being loved. Whenever I asked why he wouldn't leave his wife, he gave me a different reason. Their finances. Their families. The children they were trying for. The timing.
There was always a reason to stay married and a promise that he wouldn't stay married forever. I became an expert at surviving on the future.
Then, one evening, his wife called me. I expected screaming. Insults. A woman desperate to defend what belonged to her.
Instead, she asked if I knew where her husband was because he had promised to take their daughter to the hospital and hadn't returned her calls.
I said I didn't know. It was the first honest thing I'd said to her, and even that was a lie. He was beside me. I watched his face change when I ended the call. He didn't look guilty about betraying her. He looked irritated that she'd interrupted us.
That was the first crack in the beautiful story I'd built around him.
The second came a few weeks later, when I saw a photograph on his phone.
His wife was asleep on his shoulder. Their little girl was between them, holding his finger. They looked ordinary. Tired, perhaps. But safe.
Under the photograph, he'd written: My girls. My whole world. I stared at those words for so long that he eventually took the phone from me.
He said the picture meant nothing. But I couldn't stop wondering how a man could look at two people who trusted him with their lives, then turn around and tell another woman that he was the one suffering.
I ended things the next morning. He called me selfish. Said I'd abandoned him when he needed me most. Told me I'd never understand what it was like to be trapped in a marriage without love.
I almost went back. That is the part I'm most ashamed of.
