ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ, NLSIU ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು 'ಹ್ಯಾನ್ಸ್ ಸೈಡೆಲ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ'ದ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ “ಭಾರತದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಿಂಗತ್ವ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು” ಕುರಿತ ಜಂಟಿ ದುಂಡುಮೇಜಿನ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ನಡೆಯಿತು. ​ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಡಿಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಐಜಿಪಿ (DG & IGP) ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ಎ. ಸಲೀಂ, IPS ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೀಮಾಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, IPS ಹಾಗೂ ಏಳು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಡಿಜಿಗಳು, ಎಡಿಜಿಪಿಗಳು, ಐಜಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಡಿಐಜಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ತಜ್ಞರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ​ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ಲಿಂಗ-ಸಂವೇದನಾಶೀಲ ಪೊಲೀಸಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವುದು, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಪಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಥಿಕ ಸಹಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಿತು. A Joint Roundtable Conference on “Enhancing Gender Training for Police Institutions in India” was held at the Traffic Management Centre, Bengaluru, jointly organised by NLSIU and Karnataka State Police, with support from Hanns Seidel Stiftung India. Dr. M. A. Saleem, IPS, DG & IGP, Karnataka, delivered the keynote address in the presence of Shri Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, and senior police leadership, including DGs, ADGPs, IGs and DIGs representing seven states, along with academic experts and international delegates.
