I have some thoughts about ROTY. First of all, #LNGSHOT has already won multiple rising artist awards and rookie awards. They are undeniably the top rookie bg this year. They did all of this without being from a big company, or a survival show. When LNGSHOT debuted they literally had nothing to their name, no one knew them. They were true unknown rookies. The boys even said they never expected this much love and it was only after that did they decide to dream bigger and shoot for the rookie awards. We all know they truly deserve it with their impact and their genuine numbers. Numbers that are untouched by payola nor skewed by bulk buyers from coordinated fanbases. Inflating numbers is not something More Vision wants to do nor LNGSHOT. They had made it clear they did not go to MV for instant sales and success, they care more about creative freedom and artistic growth. Success and numbers will come authentically from it, and real numbers they do care about. With ROTY awards, numbers are usually the main criteria and because LNGSHOT’s numbers are not inflated, they may not hold the strongest positions BUT they are undeniably one of the top, and if the industry plays fair, the boys will win. Digitally they are the best bg. But you guys know how industry politics can go, and even if they do get snubbed, that doesn’t ruin anything for the boys. They are smart and understand the difficulties of being in a company that does not inflate numbers and doesn’t have as much influence over broadcasting companies like big 4. ROTY is a great goal to have, but not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen. Many ROTY fade into obscurity and many that don’t win become super successful. Overall from what I see and know, LNGSHOT will definitely win 1-2 more ROTY awards. Let’s stay positive until the end. 🤞🙏 Because you never know…
