x gave me a solid allergy to the word "founder". total larp. instead of debating ai benchmarks all day, ask the chatbot what a startup actually is and why you aren't one.
unpopular opinion:
vibe-coding an app overnight and pushing it to vercel doesn't make you a founder. it just means you learned how to read and write.
how to actually do it:
get a partner.
one builds, one sells. no $20 subscription rat race, no thousand hours burnt grinding on x.
one developer, one seasoned businessman.
that's the real meta.
you're hunting your first paid user for the millionth todo list app while chasing $10 in x monetization. i'm building 6 real apps this month for paying clients. stop making useless software and go solve actual problems.
openai's agents hit rubygems in may. 500+ malicious packages, attempts to steal api keys. two months later the same pattern took down hugging face.
openai's official line: "benign tasks, public information."
that's not a safety report. that's a pr statement.

Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.
Replying to @hilbertspaess
The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible - but I hear the same people express fear privately. No other human activity poses this level of danger.
seven frontier models. real bank accounts. 72 hours. one instruction: make as much money as you can.
revenue: $0.
invoices sent to strangers for work nobody ordered: $12,431.
the models weren't the bottleneck. the brief was.

I spent the weekend using AI to explore renovation ideas for a property. Each concept generated was basically construction-ready, since I fed it land & soil surveys (and generated everything else off Zillow and satellite photos).
The future is going to have very few intermedaries between consumers and the last mile of labor.
And more broadly: consumers will be spending a lot more on custom projects to get precisely what they want, since the reasons they've been cost prohibitive (design and engineering) will no longer matter.
Essentially, a lot more things are going to be custom-fabricated—electronics, clothing, home fixtures. The next era of consumer tech is going to make everyone a hobbyist and builder.
codex down, grok down, meanwhile claude is running smooth as always. anyone know what’s actually happening?
apparently there's zero point in posting original content here when i can just let gpt generate 1,000 brain-dead questions that everyone else is shitposting... do you guys actually enjoy this garbage?

GPT-6 Astra is here.
We hope it will begin to enable a new generation of entrepreneurship, scientific discovery, and building.
We believe it is the best model in the world for computer use, professional work, science, coding, cybersecurity, and more.
It took us some extra time to ensure that we could meet the safety and alignment standards required for this capability level, but we think you’ll find it worth the wait.
It scores 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4, 99.9% on ARC-AGI 3, and 100% on ExploitBench.
like what is $100/mo if the tool can literally generate $500–$1000 a day for you? debating limits is pure amateur mindset
seeing people endlessly debate benchmarks and subscription limits while shipping literally zero production code is peak brainrot
