Speaking of the future… FrontRunner should have express trains that operate at higher speeds and stop less. I’m sure that means more track lines and right of way deals, but a “fast” commuter train that only stopped in Ogden, Farmington, SLC, Draper, Provo at 100 MPH would be $$$
Apparently the SLC Airport is “done” as far as the project goes. When is phase 2 beginning? I selfishly ask because I’ve been told that if they build a third terminal we get a train to go between terminals and I’m all about that.

College football sucks and isn’t important and nobody should or does care about it in any way.

As college gameday from the U kicks off… I want to give thanks for the collection of hospitals and health care facilities available up there. I got my first experience this week at Primary Children’s and you can’t help but be humbled by that facility & everything it is.

When things in life are dire having facilities around that are beyond competent in care and aptitude puts you at ease at times where it’s hard to find comfort. Confidence is a funny thing that does crazy things for all parties, but you have to earn it and they have. They exude it

And one last random trivia fact that I did not know. I always took Primary as being first… so like First Children’s Hospital. I had no idea that Primary Children was a reference to the LDS Church primary organization and the hospital was for children in the church primary.

I guess I want to add an addendum to this. The radio. Learning to consume sports on the radio is a lost art and is something I’m so glad I learned. Radio has a special place in my family b/c my grandpa was a broadcaster in Ogden with his own show for 50 years.
My honest to goodness best memory of childhood was working with my dad in the garage on Saturdays listening to BYU football on the radio. We'd work on… who knows what… together, listen to Paul James call the game, and get a burger from Arctic Circle. But 1990 was different.

We were driving home from a competition in Logan a few weeks ago and I was listening to the Weber State game on the radio and she couldn’t grasp the concept of listening to a game on the radio and every time I’d react to something on the game she would ask what was happening.

And I was like. “Uhhh it’s on the radio… listen to what the announcer is saying.” But she just couldn’t and it was strange to me. But if I ONLY grew up with visual as my medium for learning ANYTHING I can imagine that a radio broadcast would be difficult to comprehend.
