If Amazon, Apple, Google, & Microsoft can join forces to build an industry standard for passwordless authentication, then SIEM vendors should be able to come together to define a common log structure for security events

I completely agree with what you are saying and with the article. This has been my experience lately as a reviewer as well and it pushed me away from wanting to serve in further conference committees.
