I am not being over the top here when I say the damage from this earthquake is going to be near the top, all time, from any earthquake given the depth of both quakes along with the high density population with and most buildings being some type of masonry/concrete slab construction.
USGS estimates over 16 million people experienced at least moderate shaking.

Trump ordered US strikes on military targets in Venezuela, including near Caracas, after explosions and aircraft were seen over the capital, CBS News reported. Video online is said to show US strikes on sites in the country, including a possible hit on parliament building. Maduro declared a state of emergency.
