in 1952, english mathematician alan turing was convicted for homosexuality and chemically castrated. in 1957, british government ruled homosexuality wasn't an illness. in 1967, gay relations were decriminalised in england. in 1972, england held its first pride. in the 1980s came HIV/AIDS epidemic, and in 1988 government passed a law banning the “propaganda” of homosexuality.
being lgbt in england back then was terrifying and even dangerous, despite a few small historical breakthroughs. if john lennon and paul mccartney had feelings for each other, they could have remained unspoken for obvious reasons.
winton and max are inspired by them, but they are not them. winton and max are living in thailand in 2020s, where lgbt movement is highly active.
using another country's history from the last century to justify bromance in this series is kind of weird, isn't it?

i’m pissed at gmmtv but yall cant keep believing nuthong can’t make decisions for themselves. all these bromance cps have the right to say No but they accepted it, even worse when they chose these series themselves. and since some fans are so blinded, they keep supporting it and looking for excuses to defend bromance, and that’s why gmmtv will keep producing it more and more.
