Intriguing/mesmerizing. And, as John says...kinda depressing.
This series of demographic charts depicting how each major group voted in the midterms is both very fascinating, and extremely depressing…
The “suburban” and “under 30” maps are particularly daunting. 😱

This is called, Suck on it, Prince (and pretty much every other rocker)
Wait for John's solo. That's a must, or you won't get it. It's just a minute or so in...
And realize, he's making it all up as he goes...

If Iran should happen to nuke someone some day foreseeably soon, will certain sectors in our society finally concede that yeah, maybe they were working on a Bomb after all?
I've posted this before, but every time I come across this wallpaper (Faroe Islands) in my files, I'm struck by the surreal optical illusion the unique setting and angles create. They say water seeks its own level, but...

This is strictly speaking a paradox, but I stand by its larger meaning.
Had the GOP—instead of fighting a losing battle on the economy—highlighted headlines like these, there wouldn't be headlines like these, bc the GOP would've held.
The point is not to justify bigotry, but to repudiate the endless identarian "score-keeping" and enforcement of marginal beliefs on the rest of America.
The nation (including a fair % of successful black people) does not like micromanaged diversity, does not want men mixing with girls in sports/locker rooms, does not think it's necessarily a "victory" for people with outlier lifestyles to be hailed as conquering heroes: "It's one thing to live and let live, but don't make us applaud your eccentricity."
This is the proper franchise of the GOP. And a winning one, given the enduring tenor of life in a center-right America. [Scroll through pix]
There are headlines I could cite in a half-dozen other areas that fall in line with this thinking. The culture is the key.

College tuition costs have skyrotted and the debt is one of the things young people are most concerned about. Enabling the system by agreeing to pay those high prices keeps them high.
Also, I coach parents whose children are failing to launch in life. Parents are paying for college, housing, health insurance, cars and car insurance, phones, and more. More children feel entitled to a certain lifestyle because their parents are paying their way as adults. We wonder why so many children now feel the government should pay for their “basic human needs.”
So, you do you. Just don’t act surprised at the outcomes.

You do you. My kids will have college paid for by me. I am hoping this makes it more likely I have happy grandchildren.

Could someone explain to my why my health plan is offering "ferrous sulfate" pills online? Sad as it is to ask, is the average American with an iron deficiency going to have any idea that "hey, that's just what I need"?
One of the coolest and yet most heart-tugging things about dogs is that they'll walk around for two hours with an old dead leaf stuck to their ear and never be the wiser.
Ridiculous.
Yes, elections have consequences, and as my pal @ChrisCuomo notes nightly, ICE should be able to do its job without summarily executing people. But must a consequence be that we condone illegality and disdain for the Constitution?
Officials who run sanctuary cities are criminals, in principle if not in fact, and we must figure out how to justify escorting them to Gitmo or similar.
