Just heard that CLARITY is not advancing. That’s not as bearish as many portrait
Besides the fact that previous cycles didn’t need the states to pass any legislation, I believe several perp trading venues like @Lighter_xyz will advance further to legalize decentralized perps
The perp meta is yet to onboard millions of new customers - and deep collaboration of Lighter with CFTC and SEC seem to prove that
A key procedural vote on the CLARITY
Act fell short today but persistence of crypto builders in the USA hasn't.
We remain supportive of legislation that provides a real, rules-based framework
- one that lets the CFTC and SEC each do what they do best.
Even without CLARITY, both agencies have real tools to guide this industry, and they've already been busy putting them to use.
Grateful for the CFTC's engagement with us so far, and excited to keep working toward a license to offer Lighter in the USA!

Two months ago I said the US decides which perp DEX survives. And I was right - perps just got highly promoted.
Yesterday the president named @HyperliquidX from a podium. And today @Lighter_xyz founder sits on the CFTC committee that writes the rules for perps.
Now Hyperliquid and Lighter are not racing each other. They are racing toward the next million traders - which they'll be able to onboard in the States, with its help.
