“If we Africans care about progress at a foundational level, we cannot hope to leapfrog into prosperity without first building and sustaining the intellectual cradles of our societies, testing and improving the ideas they spread, and aiming those ideas squarely at the advancement of our people.
In developing nations, investing heavily in ideas and the knowledge economy cannot be an aristocratic luxury because ideas are quite literally the golden tickets out of poverty.”
