I’m not an AF1 fan, I’m actually about to get rid of the last pair I own, but these SB AF1s are all dope IMO. Even if it’s something I’d never wear, I recognize dope kicks when I see them.

Personally, I’ve ALWAYS hated these things. I’m NOT knocking those that love them (I know how many on the net get when *GASP* you dislike some sht they like). This is the bad type of mismatched TO ME. A red toe & blue collar, next to a blue toe & red collar? So yucky TO ME.

The 2016 “Top 3” has had nearly a decade to settle into its place in AJ1 history. The different tongues, toe boxes and outsoles gave you something to look at from every angle.
So where do you stand today? Did these age into a classic, or would you still rather wear each colorway separately?
And if Jordan Brand brought them back, what would you actually want changed?

OUTSIDE OF the Black Cat 4s & 2017 Triple Black 1s, ALL BLACK Jordan’s don’t look all that great. 🤷🏾♂️ 1s & 4s look good monotone IMO, but all the other silhouettes need SOMETHING (contrast textures, hits of speckling, elephant print, pops of white/blk/silver/color, etc.). Pass.

I had said it before, but I thought everyone knew that MINUS the 45 instead of 23, we got the original movie version in the 2016 pair. The Royal Jumpman & outsole pods is a 2001 Retail detail, NOT movie detail. 🤷🏾♂️
I & many of us in this bubble love 1s, but let’s be honest, outside of this BUBBLE, 1s aren’t in like that anymore. 🤷🏾♂️ Ask most avg 30 & under yr old, & I have a suspicion that 1s aren’t their style like that. & that’s fine. Feels like 1s are an old man/woman shoe in 2026.
I would’ve DEFINITELY copped!! The whole “too expensive” thing with these I think more just speaks to them knowing that outside of us older peeps, & Jordan fans/collectors like that, a lot of people don’t really rock with 11s like that in this day & age. Especially not youngins.
