Hochul not weighing in on the 5 charter revision ballot proposals going before NYC voters. Mamdani doesn’t seem bothered.
“I don’t vote in the city.”
“She’s good!”
Lots of love for Mayor Mamdani and Gov. Hochul in McCarren Park this afternoon. Perhaps a little more for the former than the latter.

It’s been a long road to the passage of COPA. I’ve covered this bill for six years, and during that time it has seen several changes & faced a lot pushback from the real estate industry. Here’s where everything landed:

Shoutout to @hollypret and @TimmyFacciola_, who were among those on the ground early in Marble Hill tonight while many of us were trying to piece things together from afar. I leaned on their reporting, as I'm sure others did. Subscribe to Hell Gate and the Judge Street Journal.

On Sept. 11, an Equinix data center in Secaucus, New Jersey, leaked roughly 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel. Equinix took responsibility for the cleanup, and New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection says most of the fuel has been recovered, with no impact on the nearby wetlands and river. But residents are still asking: How much fuel remains?

In addition to momentum at the state level, the Mamdani administration is looking at potential scaffold law reforms. HPD put together a deck laying out what a legislative package could look like (agency emphasized that it has not taken a position yet):
