Plan 2 is bad enough, but nobody ever talks about the postgraduate loan repayments kicking in at £21k. I’m not particularly well paid, but I’m in a job requiring a Masters’ and paying £100 a month for the luxury
Student loans were sold to students as "you'll earn more, so it's only fair you pay some of that back towards your education cost" Unless changed, of the five plans students are on - three of the repayment thresholds will now be *below* the minimum wage.

Last year I went full Jeremy Vine and did a Christmas parkrun and it was class. Sweated out Christmas eve pints, and the wait to start drinking was offset by getting to enjoy one of the finest beers known to man- the shower beer.
There’s a TikTok trend where people are saying the correct order to spend their Christmas Day and some girl just said around 4/5pm her family has a few drinks (if they’re in the mood?!)

Live less than 300m away from this gem in Exeter. Only been in twice since I moved here 18 months ago. Death stares and silence upon entering both times They had a Roy Chubby Brown tribute act recently. I’m sure they could easily have booked the real version for no extra cost.
Intrigued to see, what is the roughest pub you’ve ever been in?

So we’re saying diesel theft, in the Cotswolds? Only one man could be masterminding this…

Gutted. Me and my friends in the Dispoable Barbecue and Magnifying Glass Enthusiasts were just about to meet up on the moor before our Friday night was ruined by that emergency alarm.

Great fun using the European wildfire map to spot the bigoted areas of Northern Ireland 👍

Glad that climate change means we only have to put up with Clacton and its thickos for another 20 years or so before it’s underwater
“He’s trying to prove a point.” “I’d vote for Binface” Clacton residents react to Nigel Farage calling a by-election. @RosieWright99

Yesterday I got to 500 tabs on my phone and had a clear out of everything except for the Wikipedia pages that I’d been reading along the way. A real eclectic mix here

Roworth gets absolutely everywhere
"We wanted Reform, but we don't want Jenrick-Reform." A constituent in Robert Jenrick's electorate of Newark has explained why he wants a by-election - and doesn't think Jenrick will win. @DuncanBarkes

Pints wrapped, in map form (larger the icon the more pints I had in each town)

I can see over the Himalayas: I can see where the sky meets the sea .. I can see a mumuration of starlings swirlingly free .. I can see whispery pink shielding blue and white clouds .. I can see snails in the garden criss-crossing the ground .. And twilight .. I can see 😁

No that's not the issue. The science says that at some point the molecular structure of the ball will exactly match that of the wall and the ball will pass through it. Captain Kirk's "Beam me up Scottie" procedure in Star Trek was based on this proven scientific principle 🧐 🚀

@mikeparry8 no it wouldnt. the ball would wear out before the wall does

If steel collapses in Port Talbot, that's market forces, sorry. If it collapses in Scunthorpe? A special Saturday sitting and nationalisation, we'll save your jobs. Absolutely infuriating. Glad for the workers, but such a slap in the face for those who were left behind in Wales.
🚨 BREAKING: MPs are being recalled to Parliament tomorrow at 11am to discuss British Steel's future
