These boxes of chicken & fries used to cost $5 each, maybe a decade ago. Now they're $16 each. Dinner. πŸ—

Last month my son was at the beach w some friends when some random girls came over & asked for his number. He started chatting w one of them, then about 3 weeks later he abruptly just stopped. Asked why, his reply: Her spelling is so awful he couldn't take it any longer. πŸ« πŸ™ƒ

Waiting for my car to be serviced at Walmart. They have a McD's inside the Walmart lol. Used some reward points and paid exactly $1.11 for this breakfast.

At first didn't get it, but woman at the beginning is incumbent Senator from Mississippi. When asked about unaffordable beef she said ppl should pick another protein. Her opponent jumped on that in what will now be remembered as one of the greatest political ads of all time lol.
She done lost her damn mind.

Wasn't a long dinner bc our friends had to pick up their son from a middle school dance. My wife asked if he overdid it on the cologne bc our son's friends do that, but our friends said their son didn't want to go so in protest he wore sweatpants/trackies lol. Love that kid.
- Gobi manchurian - Idli w a few chutneys - Onion-chili uttapam - Paneer dosa Also had a nice masala dosa w spicy potatoes. Dinner w our super close long-time friends who we don't see enough these days bc of busy schedules. 🍽️

Wife just got back. "How was it?" "Fun! Nina was there!" Nina is one of our best friends (we spend every Christmas Eve at her house), but our kids go to different schools so had no idea she was friends w this mom, let alone she'd be at the party lol. Pasadena is a small town. πŸͺ©
My wife: "Made some steak if you're hungry. OK, I'm off to the dance party now." Say what?! Apparently a mom in our son's class is celebrating her bday & it's a dance party. Didn't know ppl our age do that lol but glad to see it! πŸŽ‰ Solo dinner while watching Midnight Diner. 🍽️

US has program where they do background check & you get faster access through both airport security & entering the US at immi + customs. Told my mom she absolutely cannot bring food back from Thailand w/o declaring bc it would affect all of us not just her lol (that's not my mom)

Have a lot to say about this, but essentially what often passes for normal here on Twitter is way beyond what regular decent people irl -who have widely varying views across the political spectrum- consider to be within the bounds of reasonable & civil discourse.
While cartoonish racism might get you tens of thousands of likes on Twitter, normal people find it repulsive and want nothing to do with it.

Spent yesterday morning dealing with a clog in my kitchen sink drain line. Even had to buy this tear gas launcher to handle the problem. πŸ’¦

Tried vegemite for the first (& probably last lol) time in Sydney this past summer, but still have never tasted HP sauce. Strangely feel like, having come this far, maybe should never try it at this point lol.

Didn't even know this was a thing until recently. Apparently their mattresses are highly sought after. Who knew lol. A friend even bought one earlier this year.
