Unreliable — no record of when they’re running or how long the journey takes
Also, had a large, delicate and high value baggage item I would never risk putting in a bus hold to get bashed about

Not yesterday — they encouraged weekend ticket holders to travel yesterday

Carlisle to Newcastle line was closed yesterday afternoon with trees on the track

The lime bike mafia will be encouraged by the deliveroo army and it’ll be a bike lane hell in no time
Videos will soon emerge of pedestrians mowed down by speeding bikers
Pretend journey is crazy lmaoooo
If you’re so sure of yourself, find me a quicker and more reliable route I could have done instead yesterday afternoon
Ended up having a super easy journey via London
Feel free to prove me wrong and find a quicker and more reliable route I could have taken yesterday afternoon
Until then, this inane questioning is rather redundant

The obvious:
No previous disruption on these lines earlier in the day
The weather issues were north of Warrington
Chester’s end of the line to Euston so unaffected by things happening further north

Ohhh ok I get what you mean now. Car definitely very useful in that scenario

No — that’s the time I was travelling at!?
Which is partially why I picked the London route, because there was zero disruption and the timings worked nicely (hence quickest and only reliable route claim in OP)
What’s so hard to understand about this?

Would have been slower & less reliable — timings here:
I looked that up earlier following another suggestion but at the time I was travelling it wouldn’t have made any difference, with more potential for disruption
Journey would have been as follows if I’d have done that:
2:56 Chester to Stockport (4:17)
4:24 (delayed to 5:01) Stockport to Sheffield (5:42)
6:22 (delayed to 6:42) Sheffield to Newcastle (8:45)

£6 parking lasts me how long? I have no plans to go back to Chester, this is the return leg
And wdym nearest city? Chester is a city? Which other city within a 30 minute drive would have only been a 90 minute train ride to Newcastle?

How is it engagement bait? I just stated a fact specific to the day
