We need boards that take accountability- chairs CEO of single bodies that work in partnership and collaborate- the current model is broken based on span of control accountability and no often no link to geographic or political boundaries
A EQI is a legal requirement- if one not done it will fail the legal challenge unless they produce one and show how they showed due regard
I asked @DHSCgovuk where the impact assessment for abolishing @NHSEngland was. Recommendation 286 of Francis inquiry said any future reorganisation should have an IA made public as part of announcement. DH accepted.
No impact assessment of the change has been done.
