Here’s what I started doing with people close to me to combat misinformation
At the end of each sentence we put a (50%) which signifies how much research we’ve done on a subject. So if we are just repeating some BS headline that we didn’t actually look into, we give it a (5%) so we don’t mistakenly convince our friend it’s true. If we researched it in depth and are quite sure of the sentence then we can give it a (95%)
Not only does it help us not persuade each other of BS, but it also makes you think to yourself “do I know this is true? Or am I just spreading a false headline?”
If this was implemented for more people, the main stream news would be out of business lol.

@KamalaHarris gets absolutely nowhere near winning the primary.
The Democratic Party embraces the Kennedy name, and his vision of unifying, and his refusal to speak negative about the opposing party.
He’s on the news every night giving interviews and doing debates.
He wins in a landslide, the democrats likely have clear control for the next 8 years.
America heals, and grows.

I think if you are a former Trump hater and you’re wrestling with the fact that you are now going to, or are considering voting for him, here are some things to consider.
You might be thinking “was I wrong this whole time?” or “how did I not see this?”
When your uncle smacks you on the shoulder next week and says “Finally smarten up and come over to the good side!?” Here are some things you might consider saying :
Trump acted like an asshat in his first election. Which probably kicked down the walls of politicians treating each other respectfully, exploded the emotional attacks and divided the country so aggressively. We’ve never heard politicians speak like that, name calling and what not.
When we voted last, our businesses were closed, schools closed, stuck in our houses with masks on. He effed that one up.
Also, if you were a normal person who watched the news, it is perfectly fair to have the opinion that he was terrible.
People are always going back in time and saying “i should’ve done this or that”
At the time, you made the decisions you did based on the information you had.
There is no way you could have known, or should have believed that one political party owned and dominated all of the media, and that every story you saw was filled with twisted manipulations in the United States of America.
ON THE FLIP SIDE
The democrats concealed themselves well, and quickly changed as a party 🐍
They have went off the damn rails at a high rate of speed in the past 15 years.
Had they not over reached and
1. Tried to push Biden through half alive
2. Stuck a rando in to replace him without a vote, and force fed you that you loved her
3. Relentlessly attacked @RobertKennedyJr and subverted democracy via law-fare and media blackouts
They probably would have kept the wool over everyone’s eyes.
Also to the positive, @realDonaldTrump is still feisty, but he seems to be no longer outright ignorant. He admitted today he didn’t know who to trust and was taking other peoples opinions on things, and he made mistakes the first time around.
The Democratic Party in 8 years went from, maybe ok? Probably not but it atleast looked that way? To awful.
The republicans went from, I thought quite shitty, to great, inclusive of many ideas and acting respectable. I think Trumps bully tactics 8 years ago flocked to him a bunch of whimpy losers who wanted to stand next to the big guy and feel strong.
Now I think he is a much better and more respectable leader, and he has a team of legends around him.
I’m sure this is probably irritating for MAGA people because you are going to want to say “ HAHA WE SAW IT ALL ALONG!!”
You simply watched a different news source that fed you different information.
So tell your uncle to suck it, you made the best decision at the time voting against him, based on the information you had, and you’re making the best decision now based on the very new and very different information you have.

I have always thought if you can’t argue the other persons point of view then that’s a good indication that you are too dug into your point and you are now blind.
I think @KamalaHarris sucks, so therefore I really try to wrap my brain around it, and step across the force field and allow my brain to wrap around why people support her.

I feel like X + Grok is the only way to figure out what the hell is going on in the world at this point.
The media just lies and twists it. You have to read what real humans are saying, ask Grok to summarize the issue and give both perspectives. Then go see if you can find some real facts and documents regarding the topic before you can confidently say “IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY this is what I believe is true”
If you just take the news headlines, you are in the dark. If you just take the news headlines, and go preaching that confidently to other humans with emotion attached to it as if you’re so sure you have the truth, then……stop doing that…..please…..

After a nice snooze to clear the mind I am happy for @RobertKennedyJr he finally got to say everything he wanted with the world watching, and hopefully he will get to fix the problem he’s aiming for. Then be president in 2028 I hope!
I think his father and uncle would be very proud. They believed in having conversations with anyone. RFK Jr offered to speak to democrats(which should be his own party)
The photo of him shaking hands with Trump, and having his name chanted with fireworks behind him, is what he deserves for ultimately being the one man in the past 10 years of political turmoil who was willing to step across the divide and seek unity.

I don’t know how you would do that. I suppose it would involve
- Breaking their control of traditional media - maybe banning pharma commercials every 3 minutes, which would sweep some money from under their feet and change their allegiances
- Make it possible for an independent to run. Walking back all the rule changes in 1993 after Ross Perot ran
- Stopping the DNC from being able to literally appoint whoever they want? Then pump billions of dollars to market that random person?
I guess to do this, if they changed the laws making corporations unable to dump 100s of millions into campaigns, that would help.
Also RFK Jr mentioned putting civics classes back in schools, which would possibly stop future generations from hopping on the train when they try to limit speech, shut down your businesses, make you take vaccines you don’t need etc
I’m just speculating, but if none of that changes in 4 years, you’ll just have the DNC stick another puppet in there, multiply their aggressiveness times 100, and do the same BS again. They would probably win and walk back everything Trump did
