I point metal tubes full of people at strange destinations. Father of millions. I used to have a big chopper, now just a noisy jet! Panelist on @toplandinggear

Dropping tonight/tomorrow: our full length interview with @DrChrisParry, an RN observer on the Wessex 3 ‘Humphrey’ which operated from HMS Antrim during the Falklands Conflict. His recollections are the stuff of legend which will both enthral and anaze. #Falklands40

What a day to resume flying lessons! @Scouting4Girls frontman, TLG’s very own Roy Stride over the Sussex coast at the controls of Sportair’s Icarus C42 out of glorious Goodwood. What was he singing to himself🤔.. “I Wish I Was James Bond”🎵..? I think that’s how he felt!

40 years ago Martin Withers flew Vulcan XM607 on the historic Black Buck 1 raid to bomb the runway at Port Stanley #Falklands. At nearly 4,000 miles it was the longest bombing run in history. Martin spoke to us in full about the whole incredible story: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…

Top Landing Gear’s Roy Stride and @Scouting4Girls were on fire @GLiveGuildford last night. Only moments before he’d been with us backstage recording our next podcast. And if that TLG sticker doesn’t remain on Pete’s bass drum for the rest of the tour… there’ll be questions!

There’s a new pod dropping tonight, featuring all the usual stuff. But our main topic, which will be explored more fully in next week’s ‘Full Flaps’ edition, is Operation Chastise - The Dam Busters Raid. Based around our visit to the Scampton Heritage Centre.

There’s a ⁦@TopLandingGear⁩ 🏖Summer Special🏝 dropping tonight just to keep us all in touch. No guest, no quiz ☹️, but plenty of chat about current aviation topics. We will return properly mid-September to mark #BattleOfBritain. Happy holidays⛱! tinyurl.com/y9w4b6v3

We’re indebted to new podcast listener Gareth from Horsham who sent this excellent bit of research for us. It turns out legendary fighter & test pilot Neville Duke lived in Horsham W Sussex. TLG gets its curries during recordings from near here. We love that kind of coincidence.

A personal update on the Top Landing Gear podcast from ⁦@Scouting4Girls⁩ frontman Roy Stride. I think he recorded this in his back garden... 🤔

Alan Pollock (centre) flew his Hawker Hunter through Tower Bridge. However, it looks like a tight fit to get between two pillars of Top Landing Gear, ⁦@jamescartner⁩ (l) and ⁦@RobCurling⁩ (r). Hear Alan’s incredible story in his own words at tinyurl.com/y9w4b6v3
