Tonight's ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by Brielle Saracini and her husband, Sean McGuire, who both were just 10 years old when they lost their fathers on 9/11 and found each other through Camp Better Days.
Saracini’s father, Victor, was the captain of United Flight 175, which was directed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center, where McGuire’s father, Patrick, was working on the 84th floor.
Brielle’s connection to the Yankees began just days after the tragedy, when she wrote a letter to Derek Jeter detailing her family’s deeply personal loss, explaining that her dad would want her to realize her dream of meeting him.
Jeter invited Brielle and her family to a game, beginning a lasting friendship and connection with the Yankees organization 💙
I see this and think this is a guy who is scrambling because he forgot to get his dad a present.
"Thought it'd be a good Father's Day present."
Miles Russell got the OK from the U.S. Open's Rules Committee, then brought in his dad to caddie for the final hole of his first U.S. Open.
The 17-year-old made par to complete an even-par 70 at Shinnecock Hills.
10/10 Father's Day for Miles and Joe Russell ❤️

Some of the wildest fans in college hoops reside at GCU. Speed & volume good, vibe electric, especially all for a smaller MW school. Not often they host ranked teams there. Havocs are elite fans
