“If we waited for the Supreme Court to voluntarily cede ethics enforcement power to others, we would have better odds waiting for Godot,” he said. “Congress can and should pursue meaningful mechanisms to enforce the code.” nytimes.com/2023/11/14/us/po…

The critique has nothing to do with politics. Nothing at all. Nor should it. Nor with off or on-camera. Basic honesty. And I suspect many people who “knew” her, now “know” that the person they “knew” was engaged in fundamental fraud. I’m surprised at this take by you. The lies didn’t start Tuesday. And they were not subtle. Basic integrity is a pretty nonpartisan benchmark for character.

I feel sympathy even for criminals. But habitual lying? Unauthorized practice? Dishonesty on platforms - yours included? That’s not a bad press conferences or tv appearance. Integrity matters “on a human level” too. instagram.com/reel/DehzQj5Om…

This is absolute perfection. The Platonic Form has been achieved.
Q: Can you name a time when you voted against your party and President Trump and it changed the outcome? SUSAN COLLINS: At one point, I had organized people to vote against Secretary Hegseth. As you undoubtedly have read, at the very last minute one of our Republicans changed his mind. Otherwise he would've been defeated for that job. Q: So it didn't change the outcome

Leaders shouldn’t need to poll test fundamental moral questions. And America 2026 shouldn’t emulate Kentucky 1936.

That’s a bit of a false choice, no? I mean, if the cap on SS contributions weren’t such that a person earning $184k and a person earning $20m contributed literally exactly the same amount, the system would be amply funded for generations.

Your point is valid. But to test his contention that he’s only employing values for the last 1.2 miles see the mail-in-ballots dissent. Text? Jettisoned. Originalism? Jettisoned. Federalism? “Not tonight to convince me.” MQD? Unmentioned. He blessed an overhaul of voting in 50 states, 50 days before an election. He is not what he says he is. He is what he does. And what he does is partisan & bitter. From mile 1.
