I remember SAIS stopped reporting in the end of January for a period because there was no snow left in the entire country…… No surprise to hear it was the leanest season. There were still avalanche-related mountain-rescue incidents. We still need to watch out always.

This afternoon CMRT responded to two injured mountaineers who were hit by a cornice collapse in the Mess of Pottage area of Coire an t-Sneachda. The casualties were treated onsite, lowered to the coire floor and stretchered out to Rescue 151.

@edalemrt was part of a 60 rescuer effort along with @_KMRT to help @glossopmrt extract a hypothermic injured walker off the Hern Stones area of Bleaklow last night in serious full winter conditions. We wish the casualty well.

CMRT were called out to two simultaneous rescues last night. The first was for a climber who had sustained a deep cut to their lower leg after catching it with their crampon. The climber was located on the West side of spot height 1141.
