I'm going to get pretentious for a moment
There's a parallel you can make between the fermi paradox and dating discourse
Logically, it follows: There are so many people out there so that enough variation exists that there'll be good many people attracted to a good many things
But then the fermi kicks in
"Well, where are they? All I see are the dominant talking points from performative masculinity/femininity. Where are they?"
And it's a serious question. I don't mean online, because it's easy enough for a person to post ab something but not really mean it.
Out there in the wild.
Where are they?
We're kind of fucked in the actual fermi situation because interstellar travel is a bitch. Closest star system to us would take 4 years to travel *at the speed of light* which'd place... what... 30 years of a realistic estimate? Twice that?
But the dating one is a bit of a hopepill, because they're all here!
Yes a good enough partner won't be at your doorstep, or probably even immediately near you.
Well, then where are they?
Hiding, probably, the dark forest solution applies here as well. Dating is scary! Getting known is worse! But they're *here*, they're absolutely plentiful, and you can make contact with them.
I'm aware of how it sounds "just go out there and they'll just show up"
They won't, you'll have to find them.
Speaking from someone who spent years isolated: one of my big curses was an absolute lack of curiosity in people.
It's fucking deadly and I don't recommend it.
There are billions of different stories, preferences, charms and quirks out there waiting to be discovered.

I'm not that good morally speaking
I'm not that bad either
Believing intentions matter would benefit me greatly in that score
But I don't
Animals would be way higher imho and voodoo boys borderline below bargharest
Barghest, as bad as they are, aren't trying to summon the anti christ.
-body count of 1
-decently smart
-average height
-pale as a ghost
-0 tattoos
-loving parents
-black hair and brown eyes
-decently thin with a bit of a venus tummy
Brother I'd be the luckiest man ALIVE
I feel there's gotta be a degree of survivorship bias here
Men who are more disagreeable are more likely to be dominant, but I imagine disagreeableness also causes difficulties in the early parts of a relationship, particularly talking stage and handling disagreements.
Agreeable people, who tend towards switch/bottoms, can handle those early stages well. Unless you're in a hypercasual environment those early stages are prerequisites to any sort of sexual encounter, even a good first date.
So imho it's not that there aren't dominant men, it's that a lot of them just are equally disagreeable.
Brazil is so fucking frustrating as a country:
Imagine a 6ft tall young adult, genetically gifted IQ, someone who, should they apply themselves, could easily be accepted into Yale or Harvard. Their neighborhood is full of underachievers who also never had the same privilege, and are mostly throwing away their lives so nearby competition is absolutely 0.
But instead of any of that, that same young adult spends most of their days doing black tar heroin in his uncle's garage, blaming his situation on the lack of love from his father and the overachiever in the other neighborhood near him.
Railways? Industrialization? A complete destruction of the cartels? Tariff reductions to allow new technology to come into the country? Tax reform that really only focus on the rich instead of wrecking small to medium businesses?
Nah, let's give everyone a free phone! Populism!! Yay!!!
I feel like the dad that secretly hopes the son reaches rock bottom so it can finally get his shit together or die. But it's millions of people and their lives.
Fuck dude. Why?
Malfoid started as this sweet apolitical thing ab men writing romance fanfics and now ppl are warping it into this
genuinely, if you're someone who used malfoid to promote your hateful bigoted shit go fuck yourself.

Malfoid was never about politics, and the attempt to make it about politics has only hurt Malfoid.

Some people may be confused by my politics and I will explain. I am a globalist neoliberal and I want to see populists destroyed
Also pls fuck let this be a sign of slightly more open borders
I love the US to death and I miss it so hard. Will always view it as my second home even if it was brief πΊπΈππππ
Definitely don't want to make any predictions due to the nature of politics but it does feel like 2016 again in a reverse
It's reductive but I do think there's an ounce of truth on the fact that dominant political groups need to be "cool", you can't be seen as a dork for taking part of X side because then you hesitate to talk ab it with others. Politics is built on connections, so that's lethal.
Being Maga stopped being cool a while ago and this election just kinda showed that, lockheed liberalism seems to hold the cool points along with some of the hard left stances
Pendulum started to swing the other way
