Among many other things, Haley Stevens is the near-comical final boss of those who shamelessly weaponize black identity to achieve ends that have zero benefit to black communities.
#MichiganSenate Haley Stevens releases lengthy statement on event with Abdul El-Sayed that takes place Sunday.

Zionistentitlement is really something to behold. He literally can't comprehend why his shitty racist juvenile comedy doesn't connect with a modern audience. The only possible explanation is antisemitism. These kinds of people will only get more unhinged as their relevancy fades.
Sacha Baron Cohen has said the reason that Ali G 2 has bombed at the Box Office is due to 'anti-semitism' and is part of a wider: "trend of Jews being portrayed in certain ways and trying to be silenced."

Norman Finkelstein is an erudite scholar and compelling moral voice for Palestinian liberation. He's also a moral hypocrite with a history of saying some really stupid shit.
Norman Finkelstein complains about how he claims recent immigrants are all on food stamps and go to stores to buy "bags of salmon," and his best friend who is a doctor told him how immigrants go to the hospital for a cough or headache because "it's all free." Norman Finkelstein: "I walk into a supermarket, and I have to say, it gets a little bit under my skin, I'm the only one paying with money. Everybody's on food stamps. It does get under my skin. Because I see them buy these bags of salmon, $100... and they're paying everything with food stamps, it gets under my skin. And they're all very recently here, as last week."

At this point, El-Sayed doing any appearance with Stevens is a net negative. Any moderate Dem voters he's trying to grab aren't going to be persuaded by this incredibly unlikeable person with zero favorable constituency outside of the most deranged Zios.
CNN: How top Democrats negotiated a joint El-Sayed and Stevens appearance that's still tenuous According to a source familiar with the matter, there were talks through Thursday night and into the early Friday morning hours about getting Stevens onto the campaign trail with El-Sayed, who faces Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers in a contest critical to the battle for majority control of the Senate. But Stevens was only willing to do so if he clearly disavows an ad by an outside group that alleges that high prices in Michigan are the result of foreign aid given to Israel. Stevens and some Jewish Democrats have denounced the ad as antisemitic. The Michigan Democratic Party chair Curtis Hertel and Stevens’ fiancé Jason Turkish were involved in the negotiations between the two. Link to article: cnn.com/2026/10/30/politics/…

This was a moronic belief to hold 10 years ago. Today, it's peak mashed potato brain. Like yeah, doofus, Trump isn't a neocon, he's a kleptomaniacal narcissist with dementia. Whatever deal he makes will squarely benefit himself and no one else.
Aaron Maté, talking about Trump's willingness to make deals with Putin, says that Trump "is not a diehard neocon, unlike everyone surrounding him and most people in Washington." You can't say that while ignoring that Trump has waged war, overthrown the government of Venezuela, and frequently threatens other countries.

Centrists are petulant children. They actually think this shit is cute and clever.
BASH: “You're still fully behind Abdul El-Sayed?” STEVENS: “Look, I'm on the Democratic ticket. I can't say that I agree with everything that's gone on… I'm looking to be on the team to support my next governor Jocelyn Benson, and frankly these great Democrats who are working their tails off, who are going to make Hakeem Jeffries the first black Speaker of the House.” BASH: “You didn't mention Abdul El-Sayed in that last answer.” STEVENS: “Well, look, I would just say, you had asked me if I'm still on the team, I'm on the team.”

I've never said anything bad about the menswear guy. Really don't understand this mass blocking of people or what it's based on.

Liberal Zionists are the most self-contradictory people on earth. You can't be against the Holocaust and grieve for the deaths of the SS.
I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured. I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis. And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response. I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image. For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

You know America is over, right?
I thought Trump 2 was gonna be way worse. Every day now I wake up with a euphoric sense of relief

For years, you have willfully participated in lying and gaslighting about a genocide. But now the corporate line has gone too far for you? Spare us the righteous resignation, you're complicit in this fascist hellscape.

Blackface slop accounts be like "the Palestine crowd doesn't care about black Americans." Meanwhile, Zionists...
To me, someone who libels Israel as a genocidal or apartheid state has used the equivalent of the N word against us. It’s hate speech that makes us less safe and leaves us feeling sick. Calling it political criticism doesn’t excuse it. It’s unforgivable.

Besides the fact that fast roping isn't meant to be done from 100+ ft, it's quite clear that this poor guy wasn't even trained to do the basics correctly. Your feet are supposed to be on to control speed, not just a grip and slide. Sad that he died for a pointless stunt.
🇺🇸 A US airman fell to his death during a military PR stunt at the Navy–UTSA football game. Washington is trying to sell Americans on military service while fighting a war in Iran. They couldn’t even get through the recruitment spectacle without killing one of their own.

This is why identity politics will never create political change. Whatever the initial intent, the most cynical actors will always weaponize it to the point where ideology, itself, is shielded from criticism. It's anti-liberal, it's gross, and it's dangerous to a free society.

Even if AI *only* replaces CGI aspects of film and TV, audiences will have little tolerance for anything that feels artificial. What I think will actually happen is a resurgence of low budget indie filmmaking that doesn't rely on visual cinematics to tell compelling stories.
Ben Affleck says the day will come when someone can order up an episode of Succession with a plot they have in mind. He says that could create an extra revenue stream to replace lost DVD revenue. Affleck says AI isn’t going to end the film and TV business, but certain parts of the industry will be dramatically affected: “I wouldn’t like to be in the visual effects business. They’re in trouble because what costs a lot of money is now gonna cost a lot less….And maybe it shouldn’t take a thousand people to render something.” But he says the cost savings will mean more television programming, not less: “You might be able to get two seasons of House of the Dragon in a year instead of one.”
