What a wonderful morning ! Meeting Queen Camilla was extraordinary and being part of the #coronationlibraries was a real honour. Shirehampton Primary now has the 1st of these libraries - it’s cosy and filled with so many books as well as an actual librarian. Hurrah!!

A great start to the new year with our launch of the #NationalYearOfReading2026 today. We spent the INSET thinking about being reading role models, book chat and inclusive reading options. Then a pop up bookshop and some fab book corner makeovers. @Literacy_Trust

I’m back to work tomorrow after a very relaxing Christmas break. I’ve enjoyed lots of time reading some incredible books! I will be taking all of these in to school, some for our staff reading corner and most for our library. #ReadingRocks #YearOfReading

Day 5 #NationalYearOfReading2026
I read The Story Orchestra: A Midsummer Night's Dream to my 5 year-old. It was her choice. She was a bit like a naughty sprite before bed but this musical book calmed her down. Engaging and magical illustrations by @jesscotickle #GoAllIn2026

10 years ago I met @BarryChicken He published my first 3 books & launched me into a career I love. Barry has always believed in beetles 🪲for which I will forever be grateful. Last night I attended his retirement party. It was lovely to be there to say thank-you & see old friends

I was lucky enough to hear Chancellor @RachelReevesMP make this incredible commitment when I visited 11 Downing St as part of @Literacy_Trust earlier this year. It’s going to be huge! Ahead of 2026 Year of Reading. So proud to be part of this campaign!
Chancellor @RachelReevesMP is expected to announce later today that the government will commit to delivering a library in every state primary school in England by the end of this parliament: theguardian.com/politics/202…
