Strong infrastructure is what drives long term value for a network. @LitecoinVM V2 brings Litecoin to more chains, more assets and more use cases. ACCELERATE.
LitVM is entering its next chapter 🔥 V2 expands the vision, connecting Litecoin to a much bigger world. More chains. More assets. More possibilities. More details next week.

Most people are reading this as a16z walking away from crypto, but I actually think it says the opposite... crypto is growing up. The internet went through the same thing. In 1999 every company wanted to call itself an "internet company", and ten years later nobody bothered because it was simply how business worked (the label disappeared once the tech became normal). Blockchains feel like they're heading down that same path now, with less noise around them and more of them quietly running underneath everything else. When the name starts to fade, that's usually a sign the technology has won rather than lost.

Buying back shares below the value of the Litecoin behind them monetizes the discount, and it leaves each remaining shareholder with a bigger slice of the treasury. @jay_lits in conversation with @TheMarketRunup

“How does a Litecoin treasury company actually make money?” is probably the question I get asked the most. The answer is less about making money and more about putting what we hold to work.

Ambiguity is a tax on ambition. The ones paying it every day are the exact institutional players this industry keeps saying it wants to bring in. What people tend to underestimate is how quickly that money moves once it feels it’s waited long enough. It doesn’t sit around hoping things get sorted out, it just goes to the places that have already made up their minds. You could watch it happen after Singapore tightened its licensing rules in mid 2025. Firms like Bybit and Bitget started moving teams toward Dubai. That made a lot of sense to me, since VARA had already licensed Binance, OKX and Cryptodotcom there and they had a framework they could actually plan around. I’ve sat on the other side of those decisions as a CFO, and nobody wants to build a five year plan on rules that might change next quarter. Got into all of this with @FXFinanceFeeds this month.

Litecoin is 15. In crypto years that’s a senior citizen with perfect attendance.

I’ve yet to have a shareholder ask me about a supercycle. Meanwhile CT spent the week calling a tokenization one (do not fade, apparently), and someone else mapped the whole cycle to four themes, tokenization + stablecoins + speculation + privacy. I get the energy, and narratives are how a lot of capital finds its way into this market in the first place. But the questions I get as a CEO are rarely about which theme comes next. They’re about liquidity, what the company holds, what each share represents, and whether our reporting gives them a consistent picture. That’s where my attention goes. We need to be able to explain what we hold and why, and give shareholders a clear way to follow the results over time.

In a market that constantly looks for the next big thing, it’s easy to overlook the networks that have been around for years. Litecoin’s role in payments speaks for itself.

Litecoin turns 15 today, which makes it older than Coinbase, older than Ethereum and older than Tinder (that last one surprised me). We’ve built an entire company around Litecoin, and what stands out to me most is the people. A lot of what makes a network last lives with everyone who kept showing up for it, year after year, through the busy stretches and the quiet ones. So for the birthday we built Proof of Time, a place for those stories. Happy birthday, Litecoin, and thank you to everyone who’s been part of it. Add your story here: proofoftime.litestrategy.com
Happy 15th birthday, Litecoin. To mark the moment, we’ve opened a public wall of crypto stories, from every chain, each one stamped with the year it happened. If you’re already on the wall, share your card. If you’re not, there’s still a seat at the table: read a few stories, then add yours. Proof of Time is live at proofoftime.litestrategy.com.

August 2020, Saylor moves corporate cash into Bitcoin and half of Wall Street figures he's lost the plot (the other half simply hadn't noticed yet). fast forward to today and 190+ listed firms are running some version of that playbook... and the curious bit, Strategy still holds almost two thirds of all the Bitcoin those firms own. So if you're treasury number 150, buying an identical coin in an identical way, what's left to set you apart? not much, if we're being straight about it. That shaped a big chunk of our thinking around Litecoin, because the question worth asking was what a treasury can genuinely DO with an asset once it's on the balance sheet: - covered calls are possible, there's enough liquidity for them, so it earns its keep while it sits there - CoinGate had it at 13.9% of all crypto payments last year (only Bitcoin + USDT ranked higher) - and 73% of those litecoin:native payments went to web hosting + proxies + gaming... the unglamorous wiring of the internet which mirrors silver's story for a century, the metal nobody bragged about that quietly found its way into electronics everywhere. Cloning a structure takes months, but picking the right asset is hard to undo, so we made sure to get it right.

What strikes me today is that the core rules @SatoshiLite set at block 0 are the same ones running right now, fifteen years and over 3 million blocks later. Happy Genesis Block Day, Litecoin 💙
Fifteen years ago today, @SatoshiLite mined Litecoin's block 0 and posted the code publicly so anyone could start mining that same week. More than 92% of all LTC has been mined since, and the rest will be paid out on that same original schedule until roughly 2142. Happy Litecoin Genesis Block Day!

I get the Saylor question a lot, and I haven't even met the guy yet, though I'm hoping to someday. What I will say is he basically drew the map for all of us, and a big part of my job is working out which parts of it actually translate to Litecoin.
