Dear Coaches, Family, and Friends, First I want to say I’ve put a lot of time and prayer into this decision. I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout my football journey. I also want to thank all the colleges and coaches who have shown interest in me. With that said, I have officially decided to close my recruitment and end my football career. God has placed on my heart to step away from the game and focus on this next chapter: heading to Mississippi State next year to pursue my education. I have to be all in with God and eliminate any obstacles that stand in the way of my faith. Many know that my senior season was shortened because of an injury, and while I was lucky to return for my last two games, I believe God used that time to draw me closer to Him. This injury was not the cause of me leaving the game, but I trust that God is using my circumstances for His good. Whatever He has in store for my future, I know it requires an immense amount of faith, and I am choosing to be fully obedient to that calling. This decision took everything out of me, and while I may not have all the answers, I know the One who does. I am listening to where I feel the Holy Spirit is leading me—away from the field and toward my studies at Mississippi State Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
