Either the BBC need to sort their punctuation or the police chiefs need to take a long, hard look at their behaviour. @BBCNews #punctuationmatters

Yet the government don’t think junior doctors deserve more than 6%, despite a decade of real terms pay cuts

@BritishGasHelp where can I get a contact number so I can speak to an actual person not a chat bot. Parents (aged 85) without heat and hot water since Saturday and because of ridiculous online only system mistakenly booked engineer for next Monday. Have moved it to tomorrow but
I rewatched Children of Men at the weekend. The treatment of refugees, the rhetoric, the hatred was meant to represent a dystopian future. It felt like conservative Britain. #BravermanOut
Today I’m plodding around the Robin Hood Half, all part of building up to my London Matathon next year. I’m hoping the crowds of Nottingham will help carry me round. All to raise funds and awareness for Maggie’s Centres. #robinhoodhalf2023 #maggiescentres #maggiescambridge
Can you imagine having to read a book in this way? Where is the joy? These children have come from primary schools with cosy Book Nooks, book club in class where they talk about what they are enjoying reading, where they share their thoughts and opinions. I know - I teach them.

Around 70 parents and sixth formers came out today to support @NASUWT teachers taking action at @StIvoAcademy Pics are the cupcakes we took. We 💯 support our teachers standing up to @astreaacademies policies. Parents see the negative impact at home. #weareastrea #edutwitter

What was the last thing @GillianKeegan actually did in her role as Education Secretary? I genuinely can't think of anything. She doesn't talk to unions, headteachers or staff. She doesn't address, or even acknowledge, the recruitment and retention crisis. Nothing. #SaveOurSchools
Not in any primary school I’ve ever been in in my 30 years of teaching

I don’t subscribe to gender normative reductions like that - however we find it’s a great scaffold for good old fashioned queuing - you’ll see this type of thing everywhere, primary schools, sport, airports etc.
Completely missed the news about the pay award until late yesterday evening, mainly because we had THE CALL. So that was my Monday.

"Most staff, including myself are looking for other jobs as the repressive nature of @astreaacademies is designed to implicitly bully experienced staff to leave. It is clear that our experience does not count for anything and that we are replaceable."
