Ever forget that twitter talks about the news and open it, only to be smacked with the collective fragments of stranger reality. Like woah buddy. This place is an acrid swamp of rancorous verbosity and ideological salmonella. This post included.

Why doesn’t winnipeg have 24 hour construction shifts like some other cities? We could be so much better.
If you think it’s hard getting requests angrily yelled at your dj booth by people who are demonstrably having fun…yesterday, a golfer, who was having a mediocre tournament looked at me and said “enough with the Spotify ads buddy…” I was playing “Sloop John B”
Are any of your soothsayers calling these AI 2pac x DMX songs “the resurrection of the dead” cause if so, we are one frog storm away from the end of days…
Fortunately for every cocktail/garden/patio/adult/background/dinner set i play until the snow falls - i got this in my head, and now CRATES youtu.be/UtBIgZ1IVFQ
You think you’re pretty slick at Leopold’s with your touchtunes account and indie folk playlist designed to discretely profess your affection for the bartender. Then, her playlist kicks back in. Sheryl. Crow. Soak. Up. The. Sun. Check. Mate.
I have downloaded touchtunes, so i can infect/bless my local Leoplold’s with Magnetic Fields and Belle and Sebastian
Hey critics: we can totally rip on Bjork with very little backlash. I took a shot at the Scandinavian multi-hyphenate as if they were a grossly overrated cypher, passing “boring” off as minimal and “underdeveloped” as experimental and nobody came after me with ad homynym rage.
Today I gathered further evidence that someday, I will Dj and entire wedding on 45 rpm records, and it will be the best party ever.
I just took a lifetime top ten pee standing up in my backyard, and i refuse to credit The Patriarchy for the opportunity.
Holy moly sometimes you forget about the Beatles and Kinks and Smiths and Krafwerk and Abba Zappa Steely Dan Dr John and just give Radiohead credit for everything. To be fair: usually with eyes clenched shut. Band tees are invisible during deep vibes.
Everyone’s talking and tweeting about the Hip. I’ll lay this truth down: Day For Night (1997?) “Scared” is the joint. Listen to “Scared” (The Hip) and see it’s the lyrical miracle 90’s top 40 folk quintessence. Fuck yeah dudes. Gord and the boys got another one. Killer.
Spent a lot of time on Instagram today, shrinking the word “TRAGIC” to look like a Gord Downey feather on Shania’s hat. #hipdiss2023 #yawning #snarling
The side one track one conversation gets tricky when you consider Les Fleurs

In my humble opinion, the great ballyhoo about the patriotism of The Tragically Hip was a bit overheated. They were happy here, but lyrically critical of this land. Not leaning to the maple leaf an excessive amount, but pelted with red leaves by jingoists who were mining pride.
Furthermore…this Live At The Roxy album totally rips. Highway Girl is still the best, neat to see how early it got played in the set. On side 2, headed for the Killer Whale tank. Killerwhaletank. Damn Mcnally Robinson record section trying to make me a hip Reissue completist. Eh
