Oh boy, I remember this one. This was a challenge internally for us back at Fight Finder. We ultimately kept it official at one second because of the slippery slope and whatnot. However, Tapo's reasoning is not invalid.
We responded in 2023 and we checked it again with a stopwatch just now. It was not 1 second. We are not obligated to put a clearly wrong time in for a fight just because some person at a small Titan event wrote it down as 1 second. We have 55 MMA TKO's listed as 3 seconds and this is one of them.
For the rest of eternity we are supposed to incorrectly celebrate this as the fastest MMA KO of all time, with people forever pointing to it as the record that shall never be broken again, just because of a timer error at this event? We don't get everything right but this seems like an easy one.
Watching Salikhov vs. Bahamondes, all their spinning and twirling at #NocheUFC is enthralling. It's a battle ballet. The pirouettes provide pain. We're being treated to dance of destruction, if you will.
