Really does go under the radar how much of a professional George Lapslie is. Doesn’t get enough credit for me. Can be left out for X amount of games yet still comes back in and gives 120% every time.
Also, in my opinion it should be Lapslie 90+6 not Sarce😂 #bcafc
It's cost him the chance at Man City but George Lapslie was "doing the right thing" 🟨
Michael Duff on a player who sums up the "humility" of the #bcafc squad ... ⤵️

‘Poorer households on benefits will get extra support’ how about those households with people who work full time yet still struggle to make ends meet due to the ever rising cost of living? No no, let’s just help the dole dossing scrotes who don’t want to work even more!
🚨 NEW: John Healey is set to announce the following in his Budget later
- The gas standing charge will be scrapped to save £27 a year on a typical bill
- Green levies on energy bills will be scraped "for good"
- NHS prescription charges will be frozen at £9.90 for another year
- Poorer households on benefits will receive extra help with energy bills before January's sharp rises
- The VAT cut on electricity bills, which was due to expire in April, will be extended (though it's not clear if this will be announced in the Budget or separately)
- The Government will remove the link between gas and electricity prices, which currently inflates household bills, "in the long term"
- Banks will face higher taxes, with the surcharge on their profits potentially rising from 3% to 8%, making it the Budget’s biggest revenue raiser
- HMRC will be given powers to seize money from the bank accounts of people who fail to pay their tax
- The freeze on rail fares will reportedly not be extended beyond April
- Online retailers like Amazon, eBay and Temu will be made responsible for collecting unpaid VAT from sellers to fund a cut in business rates for high street shops
- The thresholds for income tax will be frozen again so another half a million people may be dragged into the higher rate
- January's planned increase in fuel duty will be cancelled
- Pensioners relying solely on the state pension will see their tax-free allowance rise to £13,036, in line with the pension increase, so they don't pay income tax
- Billions in long-term borrowing to invest in defence firms and raise the share of GDP spent on defence (without breaking fiscal rules, as the investments are expected to generate returns)
- The upcoming "Your First Home" scheme will be made more generous to provide greater support for middle-income earners
- The Budget will also assume the Rosebank oil field is approved, which will generate "significant tax revenues"
Jake Beesleys best game for us that. Hopefully some of you that have been slating him none stop will realise what he can bring to us now when we don’t aimlessly hoof it up to him and play through him. #bcafc
We’ve had more bookings this game than we’ve conceded goals in the league this season. Embarrassing officiating yet again. #bcafc
Beesley has been excellent up top this half. Winning everything and hold up play has been much better than usual. Should’ve had an assist for Bob too. Ref has been waaaay to card happy, weirdly only for us😂 let’s put this to bed second half! #bcafc
Hoping to see this man get a start tonight and smash it out the park. Got to remember Metcalfe was in and out until he cemented himself in December time. Big game tonight, get into the XI for Saturday and upwards from there. There’s a reason we paid a 6 figure fee for him. #bcafc
Don’t get me started on this
Harry Kane winning the Ballon D’or is so bittersweet for us former #FootballIndex investors. A tough but much needed lesson upon reflection, doesn’t make this 2020 screenshot any easier to look at. Six years later and still no answers, accountability or funds recuperated.

From one season wonder to one in a million 🤍🥲
The best in the world. Fact.
@HKane #BallonDor
Where are those chances created I’m struggling here??
Since the start of last season in League One, Bradford City's Ibou Touray has recorded the most tackles of any player (132).
Among defenders in that time, he also ranks 1st for ball recoveries (249), 3rd for chances created (63) & 5th for duels won (372). #bcafc
Realistically, they go get Challinor now and absolutely piss this league don’t they?
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club confirms that Henrik Pedersen has left the club with immediate effect.
Henrik led the first team through an exceptional period in the club's history, providing stability and leadership during a time of significant uncertainty and change.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Henrik for his contribution and wishes him every success in the future.
Sporting Director Simon Wilson said: “First and foremost, I want to thank Henrik for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during an exceptionally challenging period for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We knew the start of this season would be difficult due to the scale of change across the club, but our expectation was always that we would develop as the season progressed, establishing a recognisable style of play and greater consistency in our performances.
“Although we have accumulated points, we haven’t seen enough progress in those areas. We believe making a change now gives us the best opportunity to establish those foundations and build towards the second half of the season and beyond.
“We remain ambitious about what we can achieve this campaign, and our focus remains on building a Sheffield Wednesday team with a clear identity, capable of delivering sustained improvement and long-term success.”
Matt Hamshaw will take interim charge of the first team while the club undertakes the process of appointing its next Head Coach.
The club will provide further updates when appropriate.
Same old story this season defensively excellent, another clean sheet. Good point away from home. Very poor in front of goal. Yet people will still claim Beesley is the problem up top. No surprise to me, he isn’t🤷🏻♂️ #bcafc
It’s a good job we cropped Beesley today, we’ve looked so much better in front of goal and scored so many chances without him up top! Almost like Beesley was never the problem🤷🏻♂️ #bcafc
Same 3421 system with laps and Swan either side of Jackson. Although Jackson up top after the stinker at RWB🤨🤨 #bcafc
