Bucket list item complete as I got a mention in Mary Meeker's Internet Trends 2019 Report. Even though it's a footnote, it counts, right? bondcap.com/pdf/Internet_Tre…

Yes, AI agents are helping consumers search, discover and compare. But transacting or buying? Only in the fringiest of fringe cases

The only thing that would sway my vote this election is six text messages from an unidentified number during my work day.

Reddit call was absolutely fascinating. Everyone should listen to it as a bellwether for where the internet is going - AI Mode is increasingly default Google experience - AI Mode provides rich info and data in line, less incentive to leave search - AI Mose incentivizes dialog, Google wants to keep you engaged to serve more ads at each turn - Google will milk search for as much revenue as possible as they transition from a search company to a cloud service and chip company - As traffic from humans becomes more scarce this will put Google in an increasingly adversarial position to the rest of the internet - This is a massive headwind to all media type companies who are not destinations - This is a massive headwind to all content-driven go-to-market motions especially in the SMB. You have seen companies like HubSpot and Monday.com get crushed by this funnel collapse We are entering the end game - a knife fight for the remaining and dwindling volume of human traffic on the internet

Official T's for $7-$8 is the hardest part of this sign to believe.
The best piece I have from the Mets 1986 title, won 40 years ago today. A perfect, surviving sign sent to a sporting good store in Boston that somehow wasn’t destroyed.

AI can do amazing things, yet somehow @GeminiApp gets this wrong?

If the @Yankees ever did this, I'd empty our 529 account to pay for it...
Ever wondered what it would be like to hit at an MLB ballpark? 🤔 For the first time, you and up to 7 friends can book a private one-hour BP session at Globe Life Field! Hit from home plate off a pitching machine, operator included, then head to the outfield to shag balls while the rest of your group takes their cuts. Each hour runs $900 plus taxes and fees for the whole group. Wooden bats, helmets and baseballs are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own gear! Have a bigger group or parents who want to watch? Guests beyond the 8 can watch from the third base dugout lounge, and private sessions are available for larger parties. Dates are limited and sell first come, first served. Check out the link in our bio to book your session!

Coaching the student section on opponent's 3rd/4th down play calling is next level coaching by @NUFBFamily's David Braun.
David Braun has an itinerary and message for Northwestern’s student body this week: “I know we are in the middle of our quarter … Friday can be a good opportunity to get ahead of your studies.” Says Rutgers goes tempo on 3rd/4th down, so fans should be ready to make noise

This is incredibly hard to watch, but should be required viewing in every college.
Screams Before Silence is a documentary film led by American businesswoman Sheryl Sandberg (@sherylsandberg) that explores the sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas members during the October 7 attacks, including events at the Nova music festival massacre and abductions of hostages into the Gaza Strip.

This is my thesis: no one uses AI. I repeat, absolutely no one. We live in a bubble. Even among my friends who pay for it, when I ask them to open ChatGPT and show me their queries, it’s the same handful of basic things. Most don’t even know they can upload a photo and ask questions about it. Connecting Gmail so an agent can read and send emails blows their minds. An agent opening a browser and checking them into a flight? They’ve never even heard of it. The massive challenge right now is adoption, and then getting people who already signed up to actually use what they’re paying for. Most have absolutely zero clue what’s possible. Imagine the compute shortage when everyone starts using AI like the top 1% of users do today.
98% of US households aren't paying for AI yet More charts in State of Markets II: a16z.news/p/state-of-markets…

On 3/20/2000, Kozmo filed their S1 showing ~$3M in revenue and a ~$30M net loss. The NASDAQ was at ~4,600 that day, near all-time highs. One month later, it was at 3,300. A 30% drop. #justsayin

I don't understand the people supposedly saving all this money by having their AI agents find/cancel unused subscriptions. Do they not look at their credit card bills each month?

So refreshing to see fans and players act like actual human beings.
Pete Alonso met up post game with Mike, Nick & Chris - the trio of Mets fans who caught his 300th career home run. They exchanged the ball for signed baseballs, bats and Alonso to sign their jerseys. Pete brought beers and offered the trio tickets to games in Baltimore

"My father Michael Massaroli...you do my dad's legacy and the legacy of all these victims no honor by using this tragedy to spread hate. We have seen a medley of people come up today, of all races, all religions, all creeds and this tragedy is just that, it's a tragedy. I've had to grow up and spend the past 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers and sisters, to hate on people who don't look like them. That's wrong. That does no honor to the victims here...please stop." Full video here: youtube.com/live/Wkl0vAMmU0I…
