Why are Republicans joining Xi, Putin, and MBS to overthrow Democracy? It is all beginning to make sense thanks to Thom Hartmann. Putin’s survival depends on victory in Ukraine. MBS fears unrest at home if Liberals keep pushing for renewable energy, and Xi will never get his hands on Taiwan and Indo-China with Liberals in the way. The world’s richest oligarchs have bought the Republican Party to help ensure the safety of their own autocratic kleptocracy while bringing the US close to its own autocratic kleptocracy with Trump. Fifty five percent of the worlds countries are ruled by autocrats in the form of dictators, warlords, oligarchs, or hereditary kings, and most of them are using their money to bring down democracy in the US. It was 2008 when 5 corrupt SC justices threw out 100 years of campaign laws inviting anyone to influence the American political system or the SC itself with cash. Money was now considered free speech and corruption was the new model of the Republican Party. The only qualification required to be a Republican was a desire for greed in exchange for doing what you’re told. Republicans don’t care if they look stupid because they are getting paid. Dark money from all over the world is now legal in our politics and it is being accepted in exchange for undermining of our democracy. The money is being used to systematically erode trust in all of our institutions including the court system, thus allowing people to support Trump by him merely stating “I alone can fix this.” Trump calls out the problems in this country that he and like minded oligarchs around the world have created and claims only he can fix them, because he and those like him created them. What the Supreme Court did in Citizens United is open the floodgates to both foreign and domestic propaganda that is being used to brainwash those who already have grudges against this country, whether it’s hate, racism, religion, poverty, or white nationalism and made it ok. Unlimited money in politics has corrupted our politicians and by proxy our voters. Many climate deniers in this country are funded by Saudi Arabia and other energy companies world wide. Many of the world’s problems are funded by mega corporations who profit off instability. War makes a lot of people money. Those who invest in war make bank. Democracies fall so a few can be rich. The experiment of America relied on its ability to keep money out of politics and keep an educated populace. Over the last 50 years, money has been used to attack education and dumb down the citizenry and it has worked. Our citizens in large part simply do not have the common sense to understand what people like Thom Hartmann write about. Many prefer to simply say just give me the few rights I want and I won’t care how rich you get. Republicans are easy victims. If you give them a wall, allow them to hate, and promise to never take their guns, they will support you no questions asked. They don’t understand or care that the few simple things they care about will be taken as soon as the oligarchs accomplish their objectives. It will take the majority of us who understand what’s happening in this country to stop it. We are all we have. 2024 may be the last free fair election if we don’t show up. Happy New Year
