Lamar Baseball currently has 23 confirmed transfers in. Broken down by position this is: 3 infielders Cayden Mitchell Mason Jacob Jace Martinez 5 outfielders Brady Sullivan Briceton Johnson Aden Howard Aiden Murphy Sam Erickson 10 pitchers Noah Kendrick Brice Navarre Nikolas Miller Luke DeVasher Andrew Heffernan Topher McDaniel Tommy Mulkern Diego Luzardo Caleb Matthews Colin Roos 3 catchers Ashton Zacher LJ Layhew Hayden Crites 1 two-way player Jayden Gabrillo(RHP/INF) 1 Utility Cole Belfanti Lamar also has two other infielders coming in with freshman SS/2B Marcus Cantu and Odessa College first baseman Nano Mendoza. The first thing I notice is that there’s a ton of depth in the outfield especially when considering the likely return of Lane Sparks and Ayden Sunday. A bit less depth in the infield but some strong potential starters. The pitching staff has a high upside with some top prospects out of the portal and some great returning pitchers from last year’s roster. 📸: Big Red Insider
