I’m not on Twitter much anymore, for obvious reasons, but it seems like the right place to say thank you and goodbye to Verity Sharp, Stuart Maconie, Tom Robinson, Jennifer Lucy Allan, Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq, Sue Perkins (Just A Minute :_( ) and all the others…..
I‘m pretty sure making BBC services available overseas for a fee would be a lucrative endeavour, but since they never made any efforts to create a viable iPlayer app for non-British viewers, I guess BBC Sounds will also not be developed as a paying app in the future. I wonder why
But it is of little importance now... I’m off to try and listen to the last four series of Just A Minute before the deadline, as well as some @BBC6Music festival gigs. that’ll keep me occupied for a while.
Traduire « Up the RA » par « dans le cul, l’IRA » est un contresens total. Quand on édite un roman entièrement centré sur la situation politique en Irlande du Nord, on devrait se renseigner un minimum.

I have usually such rotten luck with the radio shows I enjoy being cancelled that Late Junction being only slightly shortened almost feels like good news, even though it isn’t really.

@StuartMaconie Dominique Lawalrée as a featured album… wow, that takes me back. My old piano teacher had made me play some of his pieces as a kid, ‘Rivages’ especially, which I still love playing now… I had no idea he had released records. I’ll be listening with curiosity. :)
