Michael Gallup’s injury is another example of how dangerous field turf is for football players. Football should only be played on grass. That’s for every level. Players are more explosive now than they have ever been. These athletes need a surface that gives not grabs.

Finally got this tee on 13 seeded on nov 20. It will add about 40 yards to the 495 yard par 5. Put some starter fertilizer and a grow cover on it and we will see what happens. Hopefully we see grass in the spring. @WheelingCC
Hey @OVAC_Sports member schools. Read the article and Replace the words plastic lawns and insert artificial turf and the article is relevant for your athletic facilities. Quit dumping millions of dollars on artificial turf. #grasscantakemore #naturalgrass – at Pennsylvania, USA

It boggles my mind that school districts can justify spending 1 million dollars on an artificial field, put students on the field in these conditions, and believe it’s the best decision. Invest 1/2 that million in 10 yrs on the natural field and it would be a great field. – at West Virginia, USA
Took surface temps today with @Kody_Riley21 and @MatthewBergin11. Ambient temp is 98°. On a natural sand-based surface, 103°. On a synthetic surface, 166°. The numbers don’t lie, folks. #SportsTurf #NaturalIsBetter #PlasticIsDangerous #VaTurf

EVERYONE should check out this graphic & link. Natural grass fields are safer, more cost effective, & sustainable. But synthetic fields are going in at an alarming rate. And schools & cities are using YOUR tax $$ to do so. OUR kids deserve better! #keepitreal #naturalgrass
Here's a quick snapshot of how synthetic turf & natural grass playing surfaces compare in some key areas.
