Heartbroken to learn of Sass Jordan’s passing. Thank you for the music, the fire, and the unforgettable voice. Godspeed and farewell. #RIPSassJordan
Canada has lost one of its most distinctive rock voices. Sass Jordan, the Juno-winning singer known for “Make You a Believer” and “High Road Easy,” died on Oct. 2, surrounded by her family. She was 63.
Born in Birmingham, England, and raised in Montreal, Jordan rose to fame with her 1988 debut, “Tell Somebody,” and later became a familiar face as a judge on Canadian Idol. Her family remembered her as “an inimitable force of nature” and “an irreplaceable being of light and joy.” She leaves her husband, musician Derek Sharp, and their daughter, Stella 🤍

#11 – I’d throw “Sheraton Gibson” by Pete Townshend onto the playlist. It’s a standout track from his 1972 solo album Who Came First.
