People are interpreting the commoditisation of yesterday's engineering challenges as the commoditisation of engineering.

Give them a break @levelsio all of @Canonical ‘s most talented are busy interviewing people in their 10-step hiring process They’ll get round to the critical bug fix when they finally hire some software engineers in 6 months CEO Mark Shuttleworth @sabdfl can explain :)
So @Ubuntu still hasn't patched this open hole on any Ubuntu server on the public internet that lets anyone take it over We might just have to switch all our servers over to Debian in this new post-AGI time of rapid cybersecurity hacks which require just as rapid patching Slowpokes will be left behind chalmovsky.com/posts/wtf-ubu…

This was always coming. I had arguments with people saying it wouldn’t happen None of these companies are altruistic. One is not more ethical than the other. They are for one thing only. Money. Look how profitable Ant is! Vote with your feet. Only way to keep them honest
Bad news for ChatGPT users: starting in December, Plus, Pro and Business limits will be shared across ChatGPT and Codex. OpenAI quietly updated its help page. Usage will now be measured in tokens, so bigger models and harder tasks burn through your allowance faster. Only Instant chat stays free of the limit. Hit the cap and you wait, upgrade or buy credits. Heavy Codex users may feel this one.

Day 16: enjoy not being able to log in to ChatGPT! Methinks a reset is brewing

Muting “dogfooding” from my tl. One of the most nonsensical terms of this era

I’d take unlimited usage of gpt 5.5 over Astra. Who is building this

JEEVE Jev + Eve @typesafeai @vercel is the new stack

Jev is goated

This outbid nonsense is going to start having incentives for joining in and being early. Like nfts et al. Potentially new audience going to get cryptopilled. Pre bull market things tbh

Guy with 11 followers publicly revealing an exploit that could’ve given him free inference for months, to gain 3 followers 🤦‍♂️

Effective Altruism strikes again. All of these players are dodgy
Cami Clark—who started what she called a "revolutionary porn company" where she sought investment from Jeffrey Epstein—keeps a low profile but is a key adviser to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Its coming IPO could top trillions. 🔗: on.wsj.com/4qjwQNc

AInshittify (verb): [usage] - “Hey Tibo, we’ve got 10 million codex users now. It’s time to copy Anthropic and AInshittify this bitch”

With all the talk of skills, loops, tools, agents etc I find that my colleagues are going down rabbit holes to find the ultimate solution that works out of the box My advice? You are unique and so is your solution. Spend some time and brain juice on that instead of searching

Effective Altruists are the biggest believers of the ends justify the means. Accumulate wealth at all costs to eventually do good with it. They will throw the earth under the bus in order to fulfil their ideology. Don’t fall for the narrative that Ant are good and moral.
Dario has one song, and he sings it over and over again. I will repeat mine: Anthropic is not an AI company. It is an attempt by the Effective Altruism movement to take over and control AI research and development. The proposals he makes here should remind you of that.

15 mins of Fable use and $20usd gone in a flash. Pointless model

Never understood the narrative that Anthropic is the moral frontier token seller. They’re all the same, as we keep seeing come to light
