When I’m selling this book, about 1 out of 20 people will purchase it after I pitch the plot.
If I tell them it has a semen demon that rapes people, it becomes an instant sale.
Good to lean into what the people want.

Picked this up on Depop last week and finally got a chance to read @jdowrites’s story “OUR BLOOD IN ITS BLIND CIRCUIT” this morning. If the rest of the stories are even half as good, this may be the best $4 I’ve ever spent. Perfect Halloween reading 🎃

i bought and read these two books when i was 17 because of the covers and found them insane and depraved. i haven’t read them since, but always thought the final note in almost transparent blue was incredibly romantic

Nobody wrote like him. An incredible style punctuated by some of the most alarming scenes you’ll ever read. Audition and Piercing and Miso Soup are so tense they couldn’t be a word longer. Coin Locker Babies is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. Nothing but respect. RIP

A magazine-fed bow. Suddenly I'm a lot more interested in archery.
No background check, no registration, no waiting period, because it isn't a firearm. Democrats can't stand that sentence. California Rep. Kevin Mullin already has a federal bill to reclassify high-powered airguns as firearms so the gun rules can reach them.
That's the playbook. When the law can't touch something, Democrats change what the word "gun" means.
Watch the engineering here and ask yourself how long before they come for this one.

LitRPG like Dungeon Crawler Carl doesn’t click for me, but I do respect it for committing to its premise. It’s a Video Game World. In most of the books I’ve read in this genre, it doesn’t bother to explain further. We should all commit like that, no matter how absurd.
