NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none."
Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays.

Baby Anhelina and her mom Inna were buried today.
Anhelina's stroller was put into her grave together with her. She was in the stroller when the Russian drone attacked.
Baby Anhelina and her mom Inna were killed by Russia yesterday.
Anhelina was just over a year old. Her mom, Inna Mariukhna, was a primary school teacher. They were in the park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region, when a Russian drone attacked.
Little Anhelina was killed in her stroller. Her mom died of her injuries in hospital.
Another girl killed in the strike was just 11 years old.
Six people lost their lives from that Russian strike. All of them had simply been spending time in the park. At least 15 more were injured, including seven kids.

NEW: An Ontario cancer patient is taking the Ford government to court for refusing to fund a U.S. treatment that could save her life.
"People are just being told to die."
The government pointed to cost savings as one of the reasons it is limiting which patients can receive funding for out-of-country treatments.

This morning, Pina Picierno, Vice-President of the European Parliament, began a hunger strike to draw attention to the situation in the Ukrainian city of Oleshky, which is under Russian occupation, and to help save the lives of civilians, including children. Russia is starving the city's residents.
Her decision comes in response to Pope Leo XIV's appeal for a ceasefire and efforts to save the people of Oleshky.
Residents must receive food and medicine, and those who are able and wish to leave must be allowed to do so.

Let's come together and try to save these people. They are eating crows and grass. People are dying in the streets and in their own homes. There are children there.
We can spread information about what is happening in Oleshky. Journalists can report on the situation. We can reach out to members of parliament and political leaders in our countries.
We must ensure that humanitarian aid reaches Oleshky and that civilians can evacuate safely.
