The cluelessness continues – at Lewisham, London
Should we unpack why it is almost universally accepted in Britain that landlords are the only investors who can and should expect *guaranteed* high profit) returns…

Brains so tiny and useless they cant even begin to comprehend the second-order consequences of this 2027 will be brutal for renters
I love how the gov is making landlords’ lives harder and more tedious. Hopefully they start selling their properties soon xx

A second-order consequence – at Lewisham, London
I have done the same. Really nice modern 2 bed flat which I lose money on every month and it just got worse. It’s currently vacant whilst I try and sell which isn’t proving easy. Tenants have lost out and I will also lose out. I honestly don’t know how landlords are making any money.

Another second order consequence – at Lewisham, London
Like many landlords across our UK, our son has put his 5 beautiful buy-to-let properties up for sale, leaving 5 Cheshire families looking for social housing that just doesn't exist. So, @AngelaRayner's & @JohnHealey_MP 's stupid attack on private landlords will mean higher rents.

I agree but the average house price-to-earnings ratio in the UK is between 8 and 18 times annual earnings So sadly this is fantasy – at Lewisham, London

We should bring back the concept of owning your home. Let's make 2027 a great year for first time buyers.

I feel bad for folks like this, they are in for a world of pain come old age, because private renting isn't going anywhere – at Lewisham, London

Private landlordism needs to die a death before the generation that never bought reaches retirement age. No one is going to be paying their landlord out of their pension. So what about those consequences?

The consequences are that renters will have to spend a higher share of their income on rent If this is what you want, then you are simply retarded – at City of London, London
Bold of you to assume i care about second order consequences…. I just hate landlords, the consequences will be dealt with in the aftermath.

Not everyone is going to care enough or have the agency to build actual complicated stuff/put in the work to maintain it Hence why people still pay painters, decorators, domestic cleaners, despite being able to DIY, etc – at Lewisham, London
Software is dead It's now the era of personal software and everyone just builds what they need whenever they need it I think

Same with half the Green Party leadership being landlords, despite wanting to ban them Cant hate these cunts enough
The Labour Party is a property owner that profits from the “feudal leasehold” system it has pledged to abolish. telegraph.co.uk/money/proper…

Because the Pakistanis are already claiming their reparations via the welfare state
I don’t hear India and Pakistan asking the British government for reparations every minute despite Britain ripping the country in two and causing absolute carnage. They just get on with it!

The OBR predicts unemployment will rise to over 5% next year So why are the flooding the island with people who will work for £7? This is a betrayal of British workers from the “Labour” party

Literally everywhere on earth is just one big long example of left wing ideology being a complete and disastrous failure and they learn absolutely nothing from it, ever

Watching socialists and communists have meltdowns because private companies are laying people off is hilarious. Isn’t this what they wanted ?? They hate business, capitalism and wealth creation so why are they shocked. They think the state should own everything, so why don’t they take over Poundland and keep the staff?
Poundland has filed to enter administration, putting 11,000 jobs at risk just weeks before Christmas, including here in Brixton. I stand with Poundland workers and @UsdawUnion. The owners must engage with workers and ministers, exploring every option to save jobs and shops.

What do the socialists think will be left after they've crushed SMEs and family businesses?
I have a burning hatred with our media, treating this guy as a salt of the earth small business owner, when instead his dad started up the business and now Paul has a turnover of 18m with 6 properties.

The tone is so weird in Britain around success. They want people to build things and create jobs but not actually get any benefit or gain any wealth for their risk taking. No mention of the 40 staff he hires just the houses. 🤣
“Why should I, a millionaire with 6 houses, suffer a slight loss so that those on minimum wage can afford to live, pay rent, heat their homes and feed their families?” My heart bleeds for you. Entitled fool. They’d pay people a pound a day if they could in the name of ‘profit’.
