12 days ago I quietly opened the text lines to the North Pole at @TextSantaAI. Today we’re approaching 2,000 families across 246 cities and towns, 49 US states, and 8 Canadian provinces, and the numbers are blowing past every consumer app benchmark I’ve ever seen:
• Weekly usage grew 6x (Y Combinator calls 10% weekly growth "exceptional")
• 17x more families are texting Santa every day now than on launch day
• 73% of families use it on day one (vs. 55% for the average AI product)
• 33% come back the very next day (vs. 26% for the median consumer app)
• Families are converting to paid at more than 2x the typical consumer app rate (4.6% vs. the 2.1% industry median), and it’s still October
The best part isn’t even the curve. It’s what’s flying back and forth. Parents text Santa the little things only a parent knows (a lost front tooth, the family elf’s name, a tough day at school), and Santa writes back all season with voice memos, workshop photos, songs made just for them, and videos.
Yesterday Canada 🇨🇦 joined and eight provinces lit up in the first 24 hours. In the US, 49 out of 50 states are on the map. The only state still dark is Hawaii. If you know a parent there, tag them so we can light up #50.
