It’s pretty clear now that Dems ought to take a page from the Republicans in 2004 with gay marriage and put reproductive freedom on the ballot in every state they can.
Biden should cancel a big inauguration -- why bring so many people from all over to DC in the middle of a pandemic? Just do it on TV. Take the money from the Inauguration Committee and ask Congress to unanimously send the money to Feeding America...
Seems to me that a const amdt saying you can’t pardon or grant clemency to someone implicated in POTUS own wrongdoing, but set up to take effect for FUTURE presidents — would be a hard no vote, even for pro-Trump Republicans.
I didn't know Rick Cohen well, met him a few times, but loved his thoughtful writing. Sorry to hear of his sudden passing.
Last thing @realDonaldTrump @JebBush , it's not really a double tax, most rich people's estates are full of untaxed capital gains.
Let's keep in mind the effect it might have on philanthropy! No estate tax means reduced incentive for ppl to give stuff away while living.
