Who is paying for Trumps MAGA-fied Freedom 250 festivities, like the so-called "Great American State Fair"?
Trump is using taxpayer dollars to spread the MAGA agenda while granting private donors presidential access — all under the guise of celebrating America’s 250th birthday.

It makes no sense to train brilliant students and then make it difficult for them to join the American workforce, even temporarily. Canceling OPT will make America less competitive economically.
Replying to @JeremyLNeufeld
Without OPT I would not have been able to work in the US after my Stanford PhD in machine learning. Even with OPT as is I actually ran out of money because of the (sometimes) unreasonably long wait times (mine was 8 months) during which you can't work at all

Feels like the Turing test is a pretty bad metric for GenAI. If your work ends up indistinguishable from everything else, what was the point of using the tool in the first place? Sure maybe it's faster or cheaper, but creatively, seems like a failure, not a success.

🚨 BREAKING: The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just decline Trump’s White House invite—they apparently said HELL NO, per @TheSun. Players and front office unanimously shut it down. Brutal.
Can’t wait for Trump’s meltdown over this. 💀
One thing’s certain: If Philly fan @JoeBiden were in office, they’d already be celebrating at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. 🤷♂️
Some wise words re unintended consequences…,
The Internet was designed so that browsers are supposed to be used manually by people and public APIs are for automation.
Giving bots (...sorry, "agents") browser control breaks this design, turns everything into an API. While that's empowering in the short term, it can also quickly lead to enshitification, because we're automating things that aren't actually designed to be automated. If they were, they'red be an API. It basically forces a redesign of the internet, or leaves it to the bots.
In the short term it will lead to gains for those who automate, as the default will be to assume that the output is actually done by people, that you're multiplying the power of an individual. But very quickly it will suck for everyone once the default changes to assume that 99.99% traffic on 99.99% of sites is bots, magnifying the arms race for attention, and reducing the value of any manual work that has to try to cut through the noise.
I'm not saying that automation doesn't have a place to improve things. I just think we'd all be a lot happier if it had its separate lane (like it currently does). That would allow it to not be hindered by conforming to our manual interfaces, and to not devalue our own manual agency.
