I remember John Mendenhall very well from those wilderness years. Unfortunately was often overlooked due to the team not winning. However he was a stalwart in the middle of the D-line and his name was called quite often for making another exceptional play. Rest In Peace.
Yeah, certain parts had a “plug-n-play” feel where it seems Brandon was pulled out and the Wiese’s plugged in to that exact spot. Tough to swallow; but we will see in time how this works out.
I like that the show format and script was not changed. The Wiese’s are very nice people, so they certainly deserve a chance. Best of luck to them.
I watched the first show with the new hosts this morning. I miss Brandon as much as anyone however a decision was made and it’s not being reversed. IMO the new hosts deserve a chance with this opportunity and I’ll give them the rest of this season to prove CBS right or wrong.

Brandon will be very much missed. Still having a hard time dealing with the show getting new hosts. I will give them a chance but gonna seem like a whole different show.
I too will miss Brandon’s uplifting unique stories. Wish him all the very best.
I watched @CBSLuckyDog every Sat.from the start. Told my family & friends to watch the show. There wasn’t a show when you handed the sweet pups over to their new families, that I didn’t tear up.Will miss you but feel there will be better opportunities, can’t wait to see what that is
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you also Brandon. Disappointed you will not be on the new season 8 of Lucky Dog. However thank you for the 7 seasons of inspiring uplifting stories of your wonderful work with the lucky dogs and luckier people who now provide forever homes.

Congratulations to my lovely and wonderful wife Kathy who has retired after 45 dedicated and rewarding years as a nurse. So proud of all you have accomplished along the way. Looking forward to all we will experience together in the years ahead. All my love forever.
