Shabbat shalom! This week’s Torah portion is Va’etchanan. This Sabbath is Shabbat Nachamu (“Sabbath of Consolation”), the first of seven haftarah readings of consolation after Tisha b’Av.
Moses pleaded to enter the land, but HaShem allowed him only to see it. Moses commands Israel to obey the Torah, promising the nations will recognize the wisdom of it. He designates cities of refuge east of the Jordan. He reiterates the Ten Commandments, reminding Israel that HaShem spoke to them at Sinai. The Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) proclaims HaShem’s oneness and calls Israel to love Him wholeheartedly. Moses cautions Israel against complacency, emphasizing faithfulness as HaShem’s chosen people.

The American pilot who saved Tel Aviv:
May 29, 1948 - American pilot Louis Lenart led the newly-formed Israel Air Force’s first combat mission, stopping an Egyptian attack on Tel Aviv during Israel’s War of Independence. Lenart and his 3 buddies led the assault, flying only 4 planes for a country that had no actual airforce.
They dropped 70-kg bombs on the Egyptian column and attacked them with gunfire. This assault convinced the Egyptians to retreat. There can be no doubt that Lenart helped turn the tide of the war, and saved Tel Aviv.
11 years ago, Lenart passed away in Israel. Today we remember this amazing hero. May his memory forever be a blessing. 🕯️

A TikToker from England who spent years defending Islam to more than 100,000 followers is speaking out about his decision to follow Christ — describing the theological doubts, death threats from former supporters, and a series of vivid dreams involving Jesus that ultimately changed the course of his life. Before publicly embracing Christianity, Kieos had spent years creating Islamic content & defending Islam to an audience of more than 100,000 followers.
Kieos is clear that leaving Islam was not a sudden or dramatic departure. "It was definitely a slow, gradual process."
Then, a striking moment in Kieos' journey came. On three consecutive nights, he says he dreamed of Jesus — an experience he still finds difficult to fully explain.
"I never have dreams," he told Britannia Daily. He acknowledges the psychological interpretation but says it does not account for his specific circumstances. "People could argue that if I were looking at images of Jesus, they could be brought forward in my subconscious whilst sleeping. But I never did, which makes it strange."

CNN and BBC just got exposed by one of their own Gaza sources.
In interrogation footage, Tariq Salami, a senior spokesperson for Palestinian Islamic Jihad, revealed a secret arrangement between Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and major Western media outlets.
According to Salami, Hamas and PIJ dictated the rules of coverage from the very beginning of the war. Under this deal, whenever Palestinian rockets fell short and struck hospitals, schools, or residential buildings inside Gaza, killing civilians, the international media was required to blame Israel. At the same time, the media was expected to stay silent about Hamas’s systematic use of those exact same civilian sites as rocket launch pads, weapons storage facilities, and terrorist command centers.
The agreement went even further: if Israel struck Hamas or Islamic Jihad targets hidden inside hospitals, schools, kindergartens, or UNRWA buildings, the media was obligated to portray Israel as the aggressor and its actions as war crimes, while deliberately hiding the fact that Hamas had turned those civilian locations into military infrastructure.
This arrangement gave Hamas and Islamic Jihad near-total impunity. They could operate from within civilian areas, fire rockets from hospitals and schools, and then rely on the international media to blame Israel for the resulting casualties and to criminalize any Israeli response.
The media did not just report the war. It actively participated in Hamas’s propaganda war by protecting the terrorists and demonizing Israel.
