Byron Young is a beast.
But just a few years ago, he was working the cash register.
Back in 2018, Young took shifts at Burger King and Dollar General to try to enter the working world.
He even got promoted to assistant manager at Dollar General, and his boss thought Byron had a future in store management.
But football was always his true passion.
One day, he saw a flyer on the store bulletin board.
George Military College was holding open tryouts for its football team.
Young went, made the team, and never looked back.
From there, he transferred to Tennessee - and was then drafted by the Rams in the 3rd round of the 2023 draft.
This year, he's racked up 7.5 sacks through 6 weeks - good for 2nd in the NFL. And he looks like one of the best young players in the league.
Not too bad for a former Dollar General employee.

The recently retired Danny Burnley touched countless lives in his role as @Vol_Sports assistant ticket manager. He took care of the players’ families for decades. Awesome moment to see Peyton Manning and a crowd of VFLs on hand to dedicate a gate at Neyland Stadium to Danny.

One of the challenging emotions we experience is after the loss of a loved one. Mason was a tremendous athlete that had a larger-than-life personality. He would light up any room he was in. We love and miss you! Our thoughts and prayers are with Mason's family.
